Been Using my Superglide since 2006 with not 1 issue.... Like stated, don't skimp on the Hitch, NOW . . . if your Rv is rounded up front, you will probably get away with a standard hitch,. If that's the case, go with the b&W Companion standard hitch.. BUt, for piece of mind, the Superglide is an awesome, 1 time pay insurance policy

RE: Pin Box again Moryde vs Trailair

I HAD a Tri-Glide.... Then I had the Flex-Air... Then I had . Morryde.... By far in MY eyes, the Morryde gives the best ride, and less chucking..

RE: Why Tesla's are bad at towing!

The OTHER issue with the BIG RIG will be the NEW "ELD" Electronic Logging Device... The drivers have to factor inn the fact that they are "On Duty-Not driving" at each fill up.. They only have a certain amount of hours to work with.. Charging could eat into that pretty fast.. "This window is usually thought of as a “daily” limit even though it is not based on a 24-hour period. You are allowed a period of 14 consecutive hours in which to drive up to 11 hours after being off duty for 10 or more consecutive hours. The 14-consecutive-hour driving window begins when you start any kind of work." ----------------------------------------- I think you just answered a question that has been a minor puzzlement. In the last year or so why have truck parking spots become so hard to find. In rest areas and such. This device must be preventing their workarounds for skipping rest breaks. The days of us running "paper Logs" are gone.. no more running a good log, and a "FAKE" log... It is ALL electronic now.. UNLESS the vehicle is older than the year 2000.. OR the driver does not go past the 100 mile mark from his starting location more that 7 times in a period of 30 days.. Your truck will show EXCEPTIONS,a and they will be electronically sent to the trucks owner as well.. IF you get pulled for a random check, the first thing they do is ask for the device. To answer you original question... YES, that is why parking is at a premium at MOST or ALL stops now. That is the reason I stopped staying in one for the night.. They have nowhere else to go... I have options..

RE: Why Tesla's are bad at towing!

Tesla semi towing Tesla semi towing #2 https://s.thestreet.com/files/tsc/v2008/photos/contrib/uploads/7140c566-cba2-11e7-bfc8-ab83ae21cc45.png width=640 Break it down some. A trailer truck with 240 gal fuel tanks can travel 1200 miles before stopping to fuel. Hmm that is what 3 times farther than the pictured truck can go. and can be refueled in 15 minutes. This is very important. most time when you load, and go. You have a time limit to deliver your load. get there late. You lose money. You really don't have time to stop and charge batteries three times compared to not stopping with diesel in the same 1200 miles, and the farther you go the more you have to stop. This is a time killing option. Normal tractors weight in the 25000 to 30000lb range. leaving a payload of 50,000lbs, and for them weight is money. How much does the electric truck weigh? Well we aren't told. But I would tend to believe it weighs considerably more than a normal tractor. just for fun, say weighs 40K. You have just cut your payload 10000 to 15000lbs. You just lose money. And you got there late. RE: exchanging propane cylinder that came with TT

Do humanity a favor and declare that the tank you are turning in is defective so nobody will have an accident trying to reuse or refill it. REALLY ?? " do humanity a favor "?? Would that cause Armageddon ? That system was put in place to MAKE MONEY.. They just made money on you by charging a higher amount for less LP.. It is ALL factored into the bottom line for the company. NOT 1 of those companies just take those traded in bottles and re-circulate them WITHOUT a multi point inspection.... age, valve, weld, ect . . . If they didn't, they would have 1 HECK of a Law Suit in the event of an incident.

RE: Why Tesla's are bad at towing!

Talking infrastructure . . I DO NOT have a Tesla, but have driven with the coworker that does... IF towing a trailer, you would HAVE to unhook to re-charge.. The charging stations I have seen were located in the back or side of a store/hotel and are side by side. There would be no room to extend the cord enough to stay hooked up

RE: Why Tesla's are bad at towing!

Tesla said they have a goal of installing solar panels on the roof. BUT . . . . . Adding a solar panel on the roof of that new Tesla truck will only add about 30-40 miles per day... I have no data on that other than our resident Tesla Cult Member here in the office has stated it several times a day... :B

RE: The buy local fallacy

My last Fiver was purchased over 3 hrs from my house... that is the closest dealer of Redwood with the next being in Massachusetts. The experience has been great, I have had a few items that were in need or replacement/repair and all I did was send pictures and the parts came directly to my house. Heck, even Keystone ( Who I was terrified to deal with after hearing stories) has been fantastic.... I had 2 instances that they helped me out and the issue was resolved with little or no aggravation. I made an appointment after the season was over to get a few larger things handled, told the dealer they would get the trailer on a Saturday and I would be there the next Saturday ti pick it up,.,, Got a call on Wednesday stating it was all done... SO . . . The dealer can make or break any experience.

RE: Stabil or Seafoam for long term gas can storage?

bucky, I don't see where any of those search results compare stabil and seafoam for long term gas can storage. They talk about one product or the other, and they talk about use in a piece of equipment, rather than for storage per se. Not the same thing at all. But I sure appreciate your comment that I "pretended to search" -- very neighborly and friendly!! That is exactly the kind of comment that will encourage forum participation. Well done, and happy holidays! don't worry about them... It"s the norm anymore here to put others down, that is why we are down to less than 1 full page at times, new folks just don't come back..... I read that link as well, and other than Your original post, NOTHING comparing the 2 to each other...

RE: pressure washers

After reading dlpllg's post, has anyone found a soap/ foam Cannon whatever that truly softens "normal" dirt and road grime enough that a normal 2500 psi pressure washer actually gets the vehicle 100% clean with no touch, no scrubbing? I'd pay for that, just haven't found one yet I believe will work 100%. Neighbor even bought the expensive chemical guys setup and foam a couple years ago. Said how good it was initially and then reality set back in and it doesn't actually do the job 100%. Back to rags, sponges and brushes... i've tried everywhere for that same exact thing, I don't think i exists. The closest I found was from the Auto Geek, but then name escapes me.. I'll get it if interested
