RE: Tire Shopping

Well I went and looked at their website and did a search for tires for my coach. You don't have your coach in your signature so I used my coach. I see they are pushing some brands I wouldn't use if they were free. I like the Toyo M144s. However a quick check shows you can get Continentals through the FMCA tire discount program for about $125.00 less each or $1,000.00 savings on 8 tires. You can get Hankook for about $30.00 ea cheaper but I like the Continentals better. https://www.fmca.com/rv-tires-discounts. If you arn't a member you should be.;) https://www.fmca.com/why-join-fmca Bill Thanks. I'm not sure why you couldn't see my Winnebago Voyage in the profile, but that's what I've got. I was looking at Toyo M154's. I do belong to FMCA. I'm just wondering if anyone has any actual experience this company. Thanks for the info.

RE: Smoke Detectors

Yes, leave the alarms on. Doesn't hurt anything, and might help save your house. In my town, we (I am in the fire department) certainly do respond to a few calls a year where a neighbor or a passerby hears an alarm going off and that person calls 911. X2

RE: New York City

I have friends staying there right now. No mention of closing down, altho it's probably only a matter of time before there's a high-rise there. Now finding an available site when you want to go may be an issue.

RE: Looking for South Texas Park with activities.

Fishing is about the only thing NOT available at Tropic Winds in Harlingen. We spent a couple Winters there and enjoyed it very much.

RE: Thinking About Nova Scotia/PEI July/Aug 2020

Thanks for all the tips. I neglected to say we would probably be driving the Cabot Trail with the toad on day trips and leaving the coach parked. We're in the really early stages of looking and are interested in what others have found interesting. I will be ordering the Provincial guide books. My thought was that July/August would be more difficult, but unfortunately September is not available for us.

Thinking About Nova Scotia/PEI July/Aug 2020

We're thinking of heading up to Nova Scotia and PEI next July and/or August. We know we want to spend some time on the Cabot Trail. We're looking for suggestions on where to go, what to see. We enjoy natural scenery and seeing 'different' things. We're slightly restricted on walking so things like hiking is out. We'd also like to hear opinions on whether reservations are necessary, especially for mid-week stays. Thanks in advance for any hints.
