RE: Chirping alarms

All smoke detectors have a 10 year life and need to be replaced 10 years from manufacture. Check the date on the back, they can be older than the year of the RV.
Propane and CO2 detectors have a 7 year life and need to be replaced 7 years from the date on the back.
This goes for any detector, hardwired, battery back up, or battery only units.

RE: Best leveler for travel trailer?

I have used the Lynx blocks for 15 years under our Landmark 5th wheel, pushing 18,000 real hard. Never had one break or crack. When parking on gravel, I always stack them on a 6' long 2"x10". Stacking them on gravel will destroy them for sure.

RE: painting/replacing wheel simulator rim liner

I would have them powder coated instead of painted, more durable and will last longer

RE: Pace Arrow cab air conditioner compressor oil fill

look for the label for the system in the engine compartment, it will list freon type and quantity, and amount of oil for the system. After flushing the system and replacing the orifice you will need to inject the proper amount of oil into the low side of the system before charging with freon.

RE: Stiffer bars for Blue Ox hitch?

You need to have the head adjusted for the new truck, either up or down, and the tilt. The hitch is set up for the truck, not so much the trailer.

RE: Steps

We did when I installed 6 point levelers, had to remove the steps to install the center jack. I installed the Mor-Ryde steps. Didn't know why we hadn't done it sooner, so much sturdier and feels better when going in and out.

RE: Help with high humidity

Showers, cooking, etc.. all add humidity, particularly showers. Use the bath vent when showering and the exhaust fan when cooking to help reduce the humidity. Running a stand alone dehumidifier would help dramatically.

If you think it has frozen, you probably will need the valve assembly.

RE: How to rotate dually tires

For about 20 years of owning dually trucks, I have rotated the RR to the front on the first rotation of new tires, second time LR to the front, and if they last long enough, I rotate the RR to front again, etc.. I have manage to get all 6 tires replaced under milage warranty several time since all tires had worn with in 1/32 of each other.

RE: 6 Bolt Auto Drain Separator

Sounds like you are looking for the air dryer, if you don't have air brakes, you won't have an air dryer. If you have air suspension, most likely you have an electric compressor just for the suspension. It won't have a dryer.

RE: Your Opinion On Air Bags

If you have sway, your equalizer needs to be reset. Sway is caused by a light steer axle. The only way to add weight to the steer axle, is to tighten up the bars, or increase the capacity of the bars. Bags will not increase steer axle weight, in some cases it can make it worse

RE: How to REMOVE brake drum races using a shop press?

If you have a welder handy, run a bead all the way around on the race, turn it over and let cool. It will fall out, literally, it will fall out. I have built many gear boxes that have blind bearing caps, welding is the best way to remove the races with out damaging the cap.

RE: Using a swamp cooler

A/C remove humidity to cool, you would have the 2 different systems fighting each other and will get nowhere. If you adding a unit, add an A/C

RE: Bike rack lights dont work when towing TOAD

The jeep has a separate module to run the trailer electric from the lighting module for the jeep lighting. You need to run a separate wire from the your coach to a second trailer connector on the back of the jeep. DO NOT connect the trailer plug on the jeep to the wiring for the tail lights on the jeep. You will scramble the jeep modules if you tie them together.

RE: Question for those with an Auxiliary diesel fuel tank

I run a spin on fuel/water separator between my tanks. 90% of all my fuel goes through this filter. I change it with the 2 on board filters, every 15,000 miles. I can an extra spin on, I have picked up a load of dirty fuel in Arizona once, totally plugged up the filter before I got back to Oklahoma. Never affected the 2 other filters or the performance.

RE: Quapaw Oklahoma Downstream Casino

They 2 parks, one on the east side of the round about, very large, lots of spaces.
Over in the casino parking lot, north of the truck parking is the original RV spots
I think it cost about $30 a night in either park. With a players card you get a free night for new members, I think. We stay there 4-5 times a year, and haven't paid in years. You pull into an empty spot, set up, then go register in the casino gift shop if your in the main lot, or check in at the service plaza if your in the off site lot
