RE: Ready 2 hit the road again

Wow that looks like quite a road-trip, and a great time. My family and I have visited all of these locations over the years, and have many wonderful memories. The longest we have spent on the road in the RV is 3 weeks...so I respect your undertaking. Crowds should be smaller in some of those places, which will be nice. Looking forward to the reports...have fun. Memories is the goal, my two teenage girls are growing up fast. This will be our 3rd time doing a 1 month road trip. :)

Ready 2 hit the road again

I missed this forum and all the great peeps - As some of you know we moved out of our toy hauler back back in November after full timing in it while building our home. Anyways, the RV cover is ready to be taken off to hit the road. Trailer is about 50 percent ready as we leave June 30th for the entire month of July. SoCal to Zion, Grand Tetons, Yellowstone, Coeur dAlene Idaho, Mt, Rainier, Seattle, crater lake, Easter sierras and back home. I’m looking forward to sharing our trip with everyone. If there’s anything we should see on our route please let me know, I’m all about taking side roads, detours and the long way home :) Thanks again to everyone on this forum who helped me and my family plan travels when we first started RVing back in 2012. Cheers! https://i.imgur.com/dRADp2Vl.jpg

5 NP road trip - SoCal to Yellowstone to crater lake

Hello, we have a trip planned from SoCal to Zion, grand Tetons, yellow stone and then to Coeur D’Alene Idaho. From Coeur D’Alene to Mt. Rainier, Winchester bay Oregon and Crater lake NP. And back home. Is there any routes along our trip I should avoid or beware of.?

RE: Its 2020 - How are we posting Pics in our post's

We still have to go here to upload them one at a time, copy the link and then paste, repeat until you did all the pics you wanted to share. It’s a pain and one of the reasons i slowed down in posting. FB groups kinda took over http://photoposting.is-great.net/?i=1

RE: Who's hitting the road this summer?

We are leaving July 1 for 3-4 weeks - Zion,Grand Tetons, yellows stone and Up to Coeur D’Alene Idaho then over to Washington, down to Crater lake Oregon and back home to SoCal. We have camping reservations booked all the way up to Idaho, nothing yet for Washington or Oregon. It will be our first road trip in our new to us Camper we picked up last week. I got lucky we scored RV spots as everything is booked up solid.

Nice, you will love being able to walk out the back door onto the beach and go fishing/surfing/etc.. My first TC was a 1994 11ft Shadow Cruiser that needed the roof to be rebuilt, took me a few months but was worth it in the end. Then the wife gets to see the inside of a bigger camper and then its upgrade time. Looking forward to new adventures with this setup. There’s been too many instances where we wished we had a TC. Some days was just want to go without hitching up the bigger trailer.

Call me crazy but the wife went on you tube and Pinterest.....you already know :) Needless to say we spent the entire day R&I, sanding and painting. Wife wanted to update It a tad bit. we already had a lot of the material such as paint and Masking paper, masking tape and Sand paper on hand from a previous project. I think it turned iout great. It’s not a big space to we felt like we can knock the entire thing out in less than a week. Tomorrow we are doing the otherside. Before https://i.imgur.com/9xuBikHl.jpg https://i.imgur.com/lY5MuEDl.jpg After https://i.imgur.com/E0MpIzCl.jpg https://i.imgur.com/FLa7mtZl.jpg We did white walls light grey cabinets and black hard ware such as hinges handles and anything else that was brown or gold

Stock leafs, should I add helper leafs? The trucks are designed to set level when loaded. Thanks! I should know better, - when I tow our toy hauler fully loaded we level out.

I think it's pretty good as is. Is the camper pretty level? Yeah It’s level. I’m thinking it’s good too but not so sure since I’ve owned one.

Stock leafs, should I add helper leafs? I measures the stock height and then after the TC installed and it dropped the rear 2 1/2” inches. https://i.imgur.com/nsDUWeAl.jpg https://i.postimg.cc/nrMbbSrK/camper.jpg Mine dropped about 2 1/2" too. I weighed the truck right before and after picking up the camper. As is in the picture the camper weighed 3260 lbs. The sticker on the door says max payload is 3400 lbs. Dang, that’s a lot heavier than mine. Only brochure for our model says 1700 lbs dry.

RE: Joined the club today.

Congrats! We just picked up a 95’ Lance Squire lite 185 for our short bed D-Max last night. We ended up paying 4K I was hoping to get it for $3500 but he wouldn’t budge. It was listed at $4500 and here in CA a solid clean TC with A/C For short bed trucks are hard to find.

RE: (((Update))) we bought it / 1995 Lance squire lite 185

Thanks everyone, we checked it out again and it’s a solid unit, we didn’t want to let a few hundred bucks stop the deal, seller wouldn’t Go any lower than 4K. I have been looking off and on for the past couple of years for a short bed model that had everything we wanted plus we were finally ready to get one. We are going to use this for short 1-3 day trips. Or just random day trips to the beaches or up in the local mountains, or when I go out dirt bike riding for the day. We have a trip planned to Idaho first week of July we are Now considering taking the truck camper and leaving a few days Brought her home last night https://i.imgur.com/dVWkHhJl.jpg
