RE: Water pump issue

Ours does that if we don't change the setting from city to pump/tank use outside.

RE: Allowing non-housebroken dog to move in

We have rescued older dogs that were never housebroken. We have always been successful in housebreaking them within a couple of month, enough so we dared leave them home alone for a few hours with full access to all parts or the house. You do need to be diligent, give lots of praise and love and treats. Make it a good thing for them to do what you want. Go out often, treats when they go outside. Taking them to the same spot and saying go potty helps. Once their scent is there in that spot it helps. Exercise/walks for poohs unless they readily start just doing that outside. Patience -- it's not the dog's fault it wasn't housetrained. You could even try putting pads outside on the grass for a bit. I do also want to add - small dog, small bladder, will have to go out more often.

RE: 1987 37' Winnebago Elandan for Sale >$45,000< ??

I feel the same as you. Wouldn't want it.

RE: flooring

How about a piece of formica kitchen counter material. It's harder, smooth and doesn't catch and tear. You could laminate it to the plywood.

RE: Pickle on My Entry Door Grab Handle

Never heard of this, but most heat pumps I have heard were not very loud and shouldn't have bothered anyone, even in tents. We have heard a couple louder ones, but not the norm.

RE: House Batteries are fully charged but acts like they are not

Do you have a battery shut-off for the house batteries that is not turned on?

RE: Wax on my Motorhome fiberglass roof

We use a wash & wax car wash also, does a great job. Many regular waxes say to not use on fiberglass. I would also be concerned about the roof being slippery.

RE: Windshield Replacement Recommendations

Use an auto glass shop, they are professionals at what they do. The body shops do not do this work themselves, they call in the glass shops and show it as a sublet repair on their billing. Many of the glass shops will be able to come to where you are and do the work, weather permitting.

RE: Concerning Slide Noise

We have had a bolt that secured the drive links with the drive motor break. Perhaps yours did something like this and a piece of the bolt is grinding against other parts when you move the slide. We replaced ours with a heavier grade bolt. Hubby called it a shear pin.

RE: A Few Places to check out for RV Parks.

Yes, we use all of the mentioned ones and google maps is a huge help

RE: Central Michigan campground this weekend FHU

We just left our summer campground because it is closing at 1pm on Sunday. Many are closing or have closed. That was a county park. Newaygo County Oxbow Park, and probably their others are still open, but water, electric and dump - no sewer sites.

RE: Need ideas for Newmar Bay Star 3626

We just use a plastic grocery bag that sits in the 1 kitchen sink and is taken to the trash every night. We do have one that fits in the vanity in the bathroom, but never any food products in there. Other people have put one in the shower and just take it out when you want to use the shower. I have seen people who have a small one sitting just outside their door under the awning and it's emptied before nightfall also.

RE: Bad Dog = No Start and No shifting of Transmission

Squirrels, mice and other rodents are known to be attracted to wiring and chew them. It was probably NOT the dog. If it was rodents, you should have coverage under your comprehensive coverage of your policy for repair of any damaged item. Not an unusual claim at all. Happens with vehicles all the time.

RE: Norcold LI-op Error Code

We reset ours with a magnet - very high humidity for a long period of time caused ours to trip. It's been fine since.

RE: Black & Grey tank readings

Haven't looked at the monitors in years. We can tell when the tanks need to be emptied after being fulltime for so many years. They are never very accurate anyway.

RE: Perils of RVing

I have many times come out of especially a Walmart store, and had to stand and think where did I park and then next is - what city am I in? Which direction do I go when I leave? I always remember after a moment, but they all look alike and you could be in any city. We have probably been to several hundred Walmarts in the 9 years full-time.

RE: Thinking about beds.

Wouldn't work in our RV as the bed is in a slide and pushes up against the closets when closed. Longer mattress and plywood box would keep it from closing. Maybe it's time to buy a new rv -- some of them do have regular queen size beds - some even king size.

RE: Relocation / Temp living in RV

Depending on the area, you can find less expensive parks. Not many amenities, but if it's temporary, a place to park with hookups is all you should need. We use rvparkreviews.com and look by state/city. You can view the parks in the area , connect with their website if they have one, get an idea of the prices and amenities as well as reviews of the place. Very useful website.

RE: Norcold 682 propane lockout?

Our Norcold ( different model) no gas operation - it was the circuit board. Sympton seemed like there was no propane when there was to everything else. Full charge on the battery and 12 volt was good. We could hear the gas valve open, but then no attempt for lighting and we could not smell any propane.

RE: Slide Topper Replacement

We removed our awning when it did that. The fabric was good but the stitching had sun rotted. You can actually re-sew everything with UV protected outdoor threading and put the awning back up. You don't have to cut anything to get it down, just slide it out of the track at the top where it fastens to the rv.
