RE: Directv ??? what are they doing???

you need to upgrade your antenna and receiver. when we got upgraded with directv about 5 years ago, they said that only a few people still had that set-up. we have since moved to dish for half the price of direct.

RE: Awing repair

the repair tapes are pretty much the same. should last for a while. check yearly. i put tape on both sides of the hole or tear.

good luck trying to find something. we made our reservations months ago. i'm pretty sure state park electric/water sites ($20-25) would probably be gone by now but check anyway as people cancel regularly. some private probably have openings and they would have full hook-ups but cost more. last january the temps were usually 50-60s during the day, some 70s and one 80. at night 40-50s. we ran our electric heater almost non-stop. one night actually got into the upper 30s with rain/sleet and the people were panicking big time. closing schools and businesses, etc. for us from wisconsin it was a warm winter day.

south dakota state park reservation website

i've tried to use this site a number of times recently and i get frustrated and quit. went camping in 3 sd parks 5 years ago and the website was easy to use. found parks, campgrounds, sites (including pics), dates and all in a short period of time. now forget it. their 'new site' is slow, slow, slow (i usually give up), hard to navigate, no pics, etc. has anybody else experienced this or is it just me?

RE: Cats in a TT

udicomo, yes, it is possible. we have taken allie cat on every trip for 6 years. a key is to start when young (8 weeks). we have a quad cab so her carrier is right behind us and after we have been going for a few minutes she wants to come out and sit between us. she mostly sleeps but occasionally will look outside. when we stop she will go into her carrier on her own. we have traveled up to 8 hours/day and trips 2-4 weeks. we always have the litter box and food available but she's never used the box while traveling and will eat very little. she owns the 26 foot trailer once she gets back there. and will come out on harness and leash when she wants to. keep window shades us and windows and doors open as much as possible for her to look out. she sleeps at our feet or between us, just like at home. good luck. let me know if you want any further info.

RE: New Awning cover ?

shade pro is good. it took 3 people to put it on. 2 to feed through on the ground and me to feed through up above on ladder. looks good. old awning was 16 years old and was pretty well shot. watch some videos on installing. the method i used was the simplest. didn't need to remove the spring mechanism at all.
