RE: Jeep towed discharged when towing. This is new.

You say you towed this jeep for a few years with no problem, maybe your battery is failing. If a cell is shorted, it will run a your battery down. Most auto parts stores will load test it for no charge.I once had a battery that that would start my coach and I could drive all day until I turned the coach off. After a while the battery would cool down and start the coach again. The charge circuit was heating the plates and causing one to seperate but only while driving.

RE: Window shades?

Day/night roller shades work the best. Easy to clean, not noisy when you travel and actually help quite the inside when the noght shades are down. The can be purchased almost anywhere window coverings are sold and are not very expensive.

RE: Where is everyone getting their wiper blades?

You need 32's not 33's. 32's are a popular size for motorhomes. I get mine from Amazon and 55 dollars sounds about right. Like others said, shorter blades are cheaper.

RE: Alternative satellite option?

I use a roof mounted dish and carry a Tailgater but useally don't need the portable. I also habe a Verizon MiFi for streaming when in the southeast but it isn't much good in the North Central part of the U.S. Couldn't get a signal for streaming in Nebraska and the d Dakotas

RE: Back lights wire

Why not just pick up 12 volts from the ignition switch or just run a fused hot wire from the battery? might be easier.

RE: new satellite hook up?

I have used (2) 211k receivers for many years in the coach. I have a RF Mogal dish on the roof but cary a Tailgater for those times when I am under trees. You don't need a Wally to get satilite in the RV. I move the 211's back into the house when we are home and to the coach when we travel.

RE: Holiday Rambler Fuse location

I had a 15" Ambassidor and my power seats were fused from the panel you mentioned, front left basement door. I had the same issue, fuses were not labled. As a matter of fact, nothing was labled very well.

RE: Plastic sheeting under shower?

One of the first stages when building a coach is to put the floor down and then cover it with thin plastic sheeting to protect it during the rest of construction. What you are seeing maybe some of that plastic that wasn't removed pre delivery?

RE: Winnebago vs Tiffin

Winnebago has givin me greate tech support and the quality of their coaches goes without exception. Fit and finish is almost perfect. I looked at Newmar, Tiffin and Winnebago, all for their build quality and although I would have been happy with any one of them, I absolutely do not regret my choise.

RE: roof air

How ofter do you clean the filters. They should be cleaned every month when in use. The dirt thay gets past them will make the evaporator coil smell pretty bad after a short time.

RE: Water Heater

When I had a LP water heater I always had the electric element on. I now have Aqua Heat and only occasionally turn on the electric element.
