RE: Defroster workaround

Just do a web search for 12 volt automotive heater defroster. There are plenty that plug into a lighter plug for less than 20 dollars.

RE: AC Question & I'm away!

Sounds like a simple capacitor replacement Could be somthing else but most likely a run capacitor since the compressor starts for a minute or 2 and then goes out on overload from a high amp draw. Pay a service tech to check it.

RE: DP weird design "feature"?

RE: Best ride for the buck

Longer, heavier motorhomes generally ride better than short, light coaches. It will be more difficult to find diesel coaches 36 feet and under but there are plenty of gassers in the size you are looking for. I once owned a 37 foot gas coach that road and handled very nice although the motor was a little loud at times.

RE: Storage of Fresh Water - How Long

I never seen an expiration date on bottled water. Clean water, in a clean tank could possibly last several years or longer. If your tank is clean and your water is clean when it go in, it might last as long as honey in the Egyption Pyramids.

RE: Repair Price

I don't think a repair shop will do the work at cost. Probably in business to make a profit. If McDonalds pays their workers $17.oo per hour what do you think they would need to pay qualified auto mechanic? $1800 might be a little pricy for South Carolina but might be a really good price in California. Its all relative.

RE: ALWAYS something!

If you go on an RV trip and return home with nothing broken, you wern't gone long enough. I gage the quality of a trip with the number of broken things when I return home. Happens to all of us!

RE: Opinion on Forest River Berkshire Quality

2019 coaches were built in 2018 (pre-covid) and 2020's also the year before,2019, for the most part. The economy was still good and people were still willing to work so the "during covid" thing doesn't hold water. I say, buy the coach you like and can afford, then take it out and enjoy it.

RE: Month/Year of Mfr

My coach serial number indicates the build completion date but there is also a tag with the date behind the driver seat.

RE: Month/Year of Mfr

I'm curious, do you think the Coved shutdown would have somthing to do with quality or contamination?
