RE: New to RVing

Jayco was the largest privately-held manufacturer of campers in the country until purchased by Thor. Since then some believe quality has decreased. However, you've got a Ford underneath you and that whole set up looks pretty good to me. by the way, you published in forum help and support which is not for help and support for anything but questions related to the forum of self, that is, how to post your pictures or setup your signature. Go back and look in the forum choices and you will find I believe class c forum, or at least it's somewhere in the motorhome list of forms.

RE: Camping World, Colfax, NC

Curious why you put your post in Forum Posting Help and Support instead of Camping World Service and Installation? Maybe because like 90% of the posts here the title Help and Support is all people see. Rename was worse than the old one. Why not Issues With Website?

RE: pulling fifth wheel with f250 supercab 6.2L engine

250 gasser would pull that with lots of of safety margin.

RE: Tires

Posted in wrong forum. Wbile I am unfamiliar with this brand of tire, I did notice that it shows a maximum tire pressure of 50 psi. Recommended tire pressure for other tires is generally 65 lb. That would steer me away from it unless I knew a whole lot more about that brand.

RE: Camping on my lot against zoning law

How did you arrive at the conclusion the OP lives in a truck camper. He does say he lives in a camper, but he also could be referring to a trailer. Not everyone refers to an RV using the same nomenclature. I looked at his profile.

RE: Camping on my lot against zoning law

OP lives in a truck camper. May not have a few hundred thousand dollars to build a house. Where I've lived a habitable garage must be preceded by construction of a residence if I remember correctly.

RE: Camping on my lot against zoning law

"What sign do we have that he is not paying the required "rent" to the city/state/county?" Post made me wonder if OP is a he. The excessive fear made me wonder if it might not be a she. Or if in California, a tulip.

RE: Camping on my lot against zoning law

OP is posted as a person one spook away from a tin foil hat. Be careful.

RE: Camping on my lot against zoning law

The tone of OPs post lead me away from the otherwise reasonable suggestions to wait and see. OP, if you can sleep, fine. If you need resolution then you need to get the answers.

RE: Camping on my lot against zoning law

First, calm down. Pay a visit to the code enforcement office of your town or county. Ask your questions calmly so you don't upset them. Often yelling at employees of such departments is a crime. They may have a suggestion or they may not, but your post indicates you are not handling this well. Good luck and let us know how things go. There is a better place to post this. Look for a general discussion forum in the list. This one is for technical questions about the entire website.

RE: 30 amp or 50 amp

interesting question for us non electricians. Why don't you post it in a proper form, as this one is for technical support on the site itself, such as how to change your signature.

RE: Experience towing with Acura MDX

several different weights can be pulled by SUVs. However, having owned SUVs since 95, I have an opinion. Here it is. The vehicle you are talking about is not an SUV. It's a little foreign car designed a seat four that has been modified to heck and back and is now called an SUV. You have to consider so much more than weight. You need to consider wheelbase, braking, transmission, cooling of the transmission, just so much stuff.

RE: So......What is the criteria?

I got booted off one big site for"trolling." I was new. Turns out it was very Lefty. Far more obnoxious posts were everywhere to be found. You just had to be criticizing the the right things. Also was rejected in signing up for Wikipedia due to my id, cekkk. But they were very reasonable when I explained it was merely the first letter in our and our three kids' names. I've used it since the Internet started, at least for me.

RE: CB radio

A few years ago I bought a CB for our then annual trek across NM and AZ on I-40, hoping to get in front of sand storms, snow storms, etc. It was useless. Channel 19 was silent. Cellphones have killed what was an amusing diversion 45 years ago.

RE: newbie again, truck camper and truck question

Suggest you click on Open Roads Forum and scroll down to the truck campers forum. New and old posters always get better information if they post in the correct form.

RE: Has anyone taken the Hwy 385

You are going to encounter real mountain highways on your way to Four Corners. Not on 385 but I-80 up to Four Corners is confusing. Four Corners is at the extreme SW corner of Colorado. More information please.

RE: Thor Axis

I remember reading nearly 10 years ago on this site or a similar site a gentleman saying he held the opinion that Thor had as its primary interest getting units out the door. Whether he was right or not, I have no idea. But I never forgot that post.

RE: Any advice is welcome

You should post this under the Class A Motor Home forum. This is for technical help with the forum, like setting up your profile. Having said that I wouldn't expect you to get much help with your question. Ask yourself how much trust you'd put in a $10k used car. Divide your answer by 10. In my opinion used motor homes are about 90 percent less reliable than a used car.
