RE: Weird sounds at night

They make white noise machines with multiple soothing sound choices. The gentle rain one should be skipped, it can induce extra water sounds.

RE: Insane first RV trip plan?

Grit holds my record for most often blocked but then reinstated after half of the posts in a thread disappear and it doesn't make sense without his input.
Yes Grit, retirement is grand. We earned it by working 70 years between the 2 of us.
I hope you make it to retirement as well. Have a nice day.

RE: Bathroom counter top mark removal cover up

A wire brush would make it worse. No paint was applied, the sink top was scuffed. I don't know why that trim piece is loose unless to access the scuff better.
I would just pretend it wasn't there and see if you can get away with it.

RE: Twist-on sewer valves…

"Dumping your gray water, or emptying your gray tank, is generally only permitted on BLM managed lands, but may still be illegal by state law. Despite that, it's very common for boondockers to dump their gray water on the ground on BLM lands.Mar 24, 2019

RE: Twist-on sewer valves…

I'd have gone to the bath house and let her use the RV shower for those few days if tank size was an issue.

RE: Stop Light/turn signal blowing bulb

By blow do you mean one or both of the filaments are broken or are they intact but just not working?

RE: Breaks Interstate Park

One of the reviews mentions that it is a state park. It is not listed in VA or KY as a state park.

Put a truck camper on it. That will straighten it right out.

RE: Has anyone camped at Willowtree RV Resort in SC?

I think a lot of us are getting tired of others wanting us to be their google.
You can learn an awful lot by doing it yourself.

RE: Has anyone camped at Willowtree RV Resort in SC?

The Willow Tree I know of is in SC with a Conway address but near N Myrtle. It's a very nice park with huge drive thru sites.

With the clowns, crooks, and liars in office at all levels we may just as well have a dart throwing election.

RE: pocket knife

Those little P38s have stabbed me enough when they open by themselves. No more.
A slight tap with punch can solve that problem.
They are also too close to the lowest ranks in the service.
I see this as a insult.
Back to pocket knife; I started carrying one before I started school. And the only time I have not had 1 was when I had no control over the door. And about 12 YO I got my first Buck 110, that lived on my belt for most of 30 years.
I certainly meant no insult but almost a year later I don't remember why I made that comment. I am the son, grandson, and nephew of combat veterans from WWI thru Viet Nam and would never disparage our military.

RE: Bicycles

In a former 5er I mounted a $35 Wal*Mart trunk bike carrier to the underside of an upper fold up bunk. I did have to reinforce the slide pins to handle the weight of 3 bikes.
On the current 5er they ride on a ladder rack vertically with seats removed.

RE: 1/2 Inch Drive Corded or Battery Impact Wrench

I have a Craftsman 20V impact and really like it. I've added an angle grinder to that stable but use the Milwaukee M12 stuff for several smaller uses.
The 200 feet of 20 amp extension cords in the shed are not happy with me.

RE: Propane tank valve - stuck solid

Hardly. People can spend their money anyway they want to. Manufactureres will do anything they can to ensure that you can't buy their stuff on amazon.
I was at a show in Jax FL yesterday and checked a brand new Airstream's tanks. Steel.

RE: Propane tank valve - stuck solid

The valve is open or defective if propane is coming out when unhooked. If it's a 2 tank setup is the switch over valve set to the problem tank and that's why the propane is coming out with the problem tank hose unhooked?
Not to offend but when Airstream money is involved you have to step up sometimes.

Although it isn't as easy as it sounds if you can pull in you should be able to back out. I'm not real good at the concept though. :o
