RE: Nascar Follies

Seems like Kyle Busch is a little butt hurt this morning. Chase won the truck race with the $100K riding on it. As usual Kyle blames somebody else, it's never him. Sorry Cloud:B

RE: You know you haven't played golf in a while when.......

Wasn't it the other way around? Scotch being the reason golf was invented? Get away from the house with your buds and bet on how many times the cutie comes around with the beer wagon.

RE: Burbman Crosses over to the Dark Side....

If you don't mind what was the out the door cost? My 05 is getting long in the tooth and needs a baby brother. Everything I look at in the pre 11 model year has too many miles on it. Don't be embarrassed if you think you paid too much. When you are hunting unicorns price is immaterial. Or you could just tell a fib ;)

RE: Trailer Reverse Lights

The lights shining off the front of the camper idea. Get some magnetic sign material and cut to fit your back up lights with some overlap for the bed side and the tailgate. Only takes seconds to install when you get out to walk the site. Stuff is cheap.

RE: Nascar Follies

Those bars were heavier than that track worker thought. He almost dropped one on his foot. Agreed on Chase, can't buy a break. Two laps to go I'd have pulled a Joey. What, what, come in? Sorry past pit road now. I put that mistake on the crew chief. Coming out 9th with 2 laps to go, C'mon man!

RE: What should getting wheel bearings packed cost?

If you can't do it yourself do NOT go by price alone. Vet the shop online before you even call them. It's worth the money to have it done right by a qualified tech, not some minimum wage guy just starting out. Or you end up with this This is what I found as I was checking over our new to us 5er a month ago. All 4 wheels had this mess inside the drums and 2 of the magnets were hanging by the wires. Don't be that guy.

RE: Myrtle Beach Problems

How can you steal that many golf carts? Must be a golf course nearby. As to the comment about the ladies being pushed down I think it was somebody trying to protect them from getting shot. I know one thing, 5 minutes after I heard shots fired I'd be a mile away not standing there all curious and stuff. Use your brains people. I don't know which is worse, YouTube or Fake Book.

RE: Memorial Day

Was it the Bulge? Dad made it thru to VE Day, survived VN, and then died at 59 of a heart attack. What a shame that Hitler was ever born. 400K didn't come home from both theaters, millions wounded. My flag is flying proudly.

RE: Mattress

BTW has a 25% off special running thru 5/25. You can order online easily but if you have questions prior to ordering use the chat feature. Calls will not get a response. They told me 10 business days to my door in NC coming from Phoenix AZ. They have all sizes available. The 10 days included manufacture. Free shipping and returns. I have no connection to this company, just wanted a new mattress.

RE: Rig for two couples?

They may as well do a YouTube channel while they are traveling. The Long Trailer Part 2. The upside is that they are family and have a much better chance of doing OK with it. One of my sisters I could make it work with, the other 2 not so much.

RE: Should I carry a spare tire?

Yes, always have a spare. A tire at least. In today's world the tire retailers only stock the fastest movers, and RV tires are not in that group. If I have a problem I want a quality matching tire w/o waiting a day or 3 for it. The other thing is check the spare's pressure on a regular basis if it's already on a wheel. It doesn't do you any good if it's almost flat when you pull it out. Don't forget to check the one on the truck also and if you replace the truck tires put the best one that comes off on the spare wheel. You don't need the original spare under there 10 or 15 years later. We don't all run brand new trucks.

RE: Anyone order a new Ford 7.3 gas?

Are those mpg figures measured or dash board readings? Sounds like a very nice truck, congrats.

RE: V10 Eng, desperate in need of help

I would check the fuel lines in the engine compartment to make sure they are properly anchored. I would also check the fuel pressure downstream and upstream of the fuel pressure regulator. I hate intermittent problems like this. The starting after sitting for a while really throws a wrench into the diag. If you really want a new truck now may be the time, but the 6.8 Fords have been very reliable over time.

RE: Bunkhouse trailer comparable to Jayco Eagle

I see you are in VA. You already have a dually so why not go to a 5er? We looked at the one in the link below but bought elsewhere. The metal bunks on the back wall are shown in the stored position so the bed slide can come in. 4 bunk triple slide Jayco 5er

RE: Oops ??

A small diameter vacuum line or a piece of shrink wrap just shorter than the bit will prevent that from happening again. My lesson involved a new 1972 Buick Estate wagon and a roof rack install. I've never forgotten that lesson. The drill bit ate the entire headliner before I could get my finger off the trigger of the drill.
