RE: Electric Slide motor doesn't seem tobe engaged

Having the same problem and have parts on order. On mine the assembly where the shaft is visible has four screws on a cover plate. I removed the four screws and found that one of the gears had broken. Just ordered a new gear for $35. Hopefully it will fit as the only other option for my system is to replace the whole assembly for roughly $700

RE: Accu Slide - Need Help Please! Does not seem right!

I did mine with the slide out then checked tension with slide in. Cycled several times then fine tune adjusted then used Locktite blue on the adjustment nuts.

RE: Keeping fridge cool in high 90s temps

Is your frig in a slide? If so you will probably have two access doors so you can remove the lower one when parked to get a little more air flow. Next if in a slide do you have a slide topper? If not get a small tarp and cover the top of the slide and slope it down to shade the side of the RV. Best your going to get short of getting a box fan and putting it so it blows into the bottom access area.

RE: Accu Slide - Need Help Please! Does not seem right!

If you are even semi handy you can adjust them yourself. When one of my cables was hanging loose I was sure it was broke so I ordered the cable and the correct tool to cut it and crimp the end on from Amazon. What actually happened on mine was the lock nuts on the adjustment posts came loose and allowed the adjustment nut to loosen up. After getting them adjusted I applied a drop of loctite blue to each nut so that wont happen again, The adjustments are outlined in the service manual. Start HERE and then after reading click on service manual.

RE: Dometic 15K A/C Blowing Warm/Hot Electric Smell?

My first guess would be the start up capacitor. A fairly easy and inexpensive fix. If you are reasonably mechanically inclined and feel comfortable getting on the roof you can change it in probably 20 minutes and, that includes the climbing time. If you decide to do this make sure you short the electrical terminals on the capacitor together before touching the capacitor as they can bite.

RE: Diesel Pusher, side vs rear mount radiator

You are correct in thinking the side radiator is more desirable however the rear radiator coaches should not be something you need to avoid as a whole. What I would recommend to avoid is a rear radiator coach where the radiator and charge air cooler are sandwiched together. I had a coach like that and all kind of debris gets between the radiator and CAC and it is almost impossible to get them clean without removing them from the coach. As long as the radiator and CAC are mounted separate from each other you will have no problem.

RE: Radiator Over Flow Tank

I had mine replaced by Freightliner. They used a metal truck over flow tank and fabricated a bracket system to hang it. Unfortunately I no longer have a visual of how much fluid is in the tank so every once in awhile I have to use a dip stick to check it.

RE: Trailer Feels Heavier After Hauling for Period of Time

If the brakes are dragging the wheels will feel really hot. If you really want to know how hot you can buy a Infrared Laser Thermometer at Harbor Freight for around $20. My guess would probably be the catalytic converter.

RE: 50 amp cheater box

Bought one several years ago and was able to use it at several places the first year or so. Now almost all parks use GFCI breakers and I have not found anywhere I could use it in a long time.

Towing a car hauler

Considering buying an enclosed car hauler trailer. My coach is rated to tow 10k My question for those of you towing a large trailer with a motorhome is, do you have to use a hitch with the weight distribution bars?

RE: Need wiring diagram and help

Do you have a Xantrex inverter. If you do disconnect from power then remove the small plate on the front of the inverter, Inside you will see wire nuts connecting the AC wiring that passes through the inverter. On mine the connections had vibrated loose and had even melted the wires. I was able to get enough slack to cut off the bad parts and reconnect the wires. This was on an 04 National Tropi Cal so could be the same. Your problem sounds very similar to the symptoms I was experiencing.

RE: Reduced water flow from pump

You could blow air through the tank supply line to the pump to see if that clears it

RE: Mouse Smell In Ducts Over 1 year now - will it sell?

Have you tried an ozone generator? This is what motels etc use to get rid of smells. You can rent them or in my case I bought one on Amazon. They really do work wonders.

RE: Replaced toilet won't sit on floor

Have you physically compared the two toilet bases?

RE: Reduced water flow from pump

Have you tested if it is only with the pump or does it have the same problem on shore water? If both then clean faucet strainers. If only pump then remove and clean pump filter.

RE: Replaced toilet won't sit on floor

No real answer but a question. When you removed the old toilet did it have a thinner rubber ring than the new one? Is it the same model toilet? Different model toilets may have different installation specs. If you can't find a thinner ring or you can't trim this one down a wax ring may be your only option.

RE: home resort

Bumpy is correct that is what is known as the 125 mile rule. You are not allowed to use your reciprocal membership within 125 air miles of your home. Your home is defined as the address on your drivers license.

RE: home resort

Coast to Coast is a reciprocal membership which can only be purchased through the park system where you purchased your home park.
