RE: Visible Phone Hotspot
Just a curious question as to why folks are using travel routers. It seems most phones/mifi devices have a hotspot feature where they can share the connection so I wanted to know of why go through the trouble of all the other setups people have.

The 70 still has construction in downtown but its not for very long so I would still go through if its the closest route you have. I would avoid rush hour but other than that it is manageable

I fill it up, throw in a can of seafoam and put it on a batteryminder plus maintainer. At least I feel like I have done what I can while its in storage.

For 5 years, I have been using a bonding plug, exactly as you describe, so my PI EMS will let my Honda EU2000i current into the trailer. I finally got tired of fooling with the plug this summer and opened up the Honda's faceplate. I jumpered the GROUND to the NEUTRAL on the Honda's receptacle, itself. So, yes, you can jumper the back of the 30 amp outlet. Or, if it is easier, jumper the back of the 15 amp outlet. It doesn't matter which outlet you jumper.
A few weeks later, I came across another camper who was complaining about having to disable his PI EMS when running his generator. I gave him my (now unneeded) bonding plug and told him to plug it INTO THE GENERATOR, ITSELF.
Thanks. I have an EU2000 and it does run my house furnace and have done that when the power has gone out in winter. I was curious about this for my daughter who will be getting a new furnace and has a ryobi inverter generator and being able to set her up and what might need to be done.

Don't forget that back in the day there were really 2 choices for a quality generator, Honda or Yamaha. Those times have changed and there are many nice ones out that folks have had great luck with and are not as expensive.
What I never will understand is why someone will buy something and then not take care of it. I am sure your owners manual would not say to store it for a year with old gas in it. But then again its yours so do with it what you will.

this video doesnt make sence to me. I only have the 4 point, but once there is pressure on all 4 pads it doesnt matter how high the tires are going to come off the ground the rig isn't moving. but my rear and front jacks look substantualy beefier than thoes ones.. elecric vs hydryalic I guess. I just had to use them to lift one side of the 5th so the tires were 1" off the ground a coupel weeks ago to change a tire.
But the site was off level front to back, so when the tires were raised on the one side off the ground, the chocks were no longer holding it, that side slid forward

I rarely drive my truck in winter so I do have an onboard maintainer for the batteries and keep it on that. Also as others have said fill up the tank and use some type of conditioner. Most importantly, make sure you pat its hood and tell her what a good job she has done this year and let her take a rest.

So is it okay then if you are off level to have one side where the tires are lifted off the ground? I don't have this system yet but sure the next rig will and was curious if that would cause any damage or its perfectly fine.

I had a Reese solid hitch for years and had no issues with it. I then bought a Trailersaver air ride hitch because my truck already rides like an old stagecoach going down a gravel road. This really improved the ride. I can look in my rear-view mirror and see the hitch doing it thing by absorbing the bounce of the trailer and not transferring it to the truck.
To me its not a question of Anderson or Trailersaver but rather any solid mounted hitch compared to any air ride hitch. They are pricier but it is a one and done thing.
I am happy with my purchase and if I ever needed to get a new hitch it would be an air ride hitch

With the proper support devices, cell booster, mimo antenna or yagi antenna on a 16' painters pole, I've never not had cell reception. Even out in the desert or miles from civilization in a forest. There is always a cell tower somewhere. You just need to reach out to it.
I should have mentioned that I did have my booster, 25ft pole with antenna on it as well and depending on what time of day I might be able to snag a little bit of signal for a short while. Dont forget in a campground its more than just you trying to get a signal, its everyone else too so reach out all you want too - these were my results

The power stations have their place and are nothing new and have been around for a while, they have just got a little fancier and have better batteries in them and now being able to charge them with solar as well. I think a well-prepared person has both a generator and a power station.

We just got back from our trip and were up in Michigan UP and had plenty of areas with zero phone reception so no hot spot would work there. My advice is to see where you will be going a lot and if they have cell coverage, then you can go with what some of the other posters had mentioned. If there is no coverage then Starlink is about your only choice

I have the Trailersacer BD3 air hitch and would not be without it after having a standard hard mounted hitch. It takes a lot of the bounce that would otherwise be transferred to the truck.

Here is my routine
1. pour the bleach in the hose
2. run the water through the hose and fill the tank
3. run all the faucets and toilet and so on
4. let this all sit 8-24 hours
5. I open up all the faucets and let the solution run through until the tank is empty.
6. I refill the tank then open up all faucets and let it run through until the tank is empty
7. I repeat the fill/drain again
Yes it uses a lot of water to do this
