RE: No water pressure

Do check the sediment screen (if installed) on your pump itself. First trip out I had to dig around to clean mine out too. Was also my reminder to bleach the holding again.

RE: Power drain

My question where & how do I look to find the source of the drainage? I had this same issue with our Coach. I could isolate the house batteries, but not the coach battery which could drain and kill itself within a couple months. I started off by bringing the RV home after 6 weeks and with a 30 minute drive on the freeway and leave it plugged in for a couple nights then back to storage. I suppose I could have gone through each fuse trying to isolate the draw. But it was much easier to put a knife blade battery disconnect switch on the battery. Once I did, it solved all of my issues.

RE: New dog!

We used the Regalo baby gates. But with the door in the RV it might be tough to find that isn't to wide. For the exterior doors you might look into using some these Banister Adapter Y-Spindle Rods as they don't get knocked over as easy if they wrap around a door frame.

RE: New dog!

Just a gate or do you need more of a fence? If you get a fence get at least 32" high if not 40" high. The 24" ones will be pointless before the dog is trained. For gates, we use the spring tension walk through gates. Our dogs are now 3 and 1 so gates are mostly all down, but we've keep them as we expect our kids will have kids or dogs coming along. Gates with extensions are great as you can adjust to various locations. Congrats on the pup. What did you get?

RE: Warning for Blue Ox base plates on Honda CR-Vs

So far I've gotten no reply from Blue Ox. That is very disappointing, I'd at least think they might want to inspect it - doubt they will step up to replace it but at least learn from it. I'm actually thinking of switching to a jeep with an offroad bumper... I went this route, very happy with the setup.

RE: Crypto Mining and CO2

This topic does not relate to Tech Issues for RVs. Before posting ask if the post fits in Tech Issues which is for "Discussions relating to your rig, running gear, generators, refrigerators and other rig related electrical/mechanical problems. " I am going to move this thread to Around the Campfire.

RE: Towable vehicles

hotjag1 sadly when they ceased producing the Motorhome Mag they also stopped producing the Dinghy Guide. There has never been one master list, even with the Dinghy Guides you still have to check the actual owners manual. If you have a few makes/model/year post it here and you'll get some thoughts, but you can also google the owners manual for each one if you are unsure.

RE: Newport OR to Portland Or Help

We just came back home to Eastern WA through Newport via 20 to Corvallis, stopped at the Albany Costco to fuel up then I-5, I-205 to I-84 and at Hermiston we took I-82 North. Just be aware of the winds along I-84, use for current Oregon Road conditions.

RE: Jeep Wrangler ReadyBrake Elite II Setup

I wanted to come back and update this thread. After a couple trips with the magnetic light I saw what willald was talking about. I decided to order the CoolTech JK Tow Harness Kit (not the deluxe though). I then ordered Hopkins 47043 Flex-Coil Nite Glow 7 Blade to 4 Round Adapter Installation was pretty straight forward as far as running the wires, I did run the wire through the frame using a fish wire which made for a very clean looking install. That was the easy part. I setup as per the directions and hooked up *fail* it was like Christmas lights flashing but not the right ones. I ended up scrapping the wiring hook connections for the 4 pin on the Jeep side and instead matched those up to what the Motorhome was sending out - everything worked. I've since read that others had the same issue. Bottom line is it works and it's seemless now. I will be selling the magnetic lights as a friend needs them when towing.
