RE: COE

#4...Not with Covid 19, at least in SE/Mobile District.
All res/changes must be be online, and the new recreation.gov site is a joke.
Even with all that we just came off 7 weeks of lakefront camping across NC and GA. :)

RE: Diesel Engine Runaway - 2005 Cummins

Yep... bad fuel control so fuel continued to flow with key off...too much so as evidenced by white smoke.
Marine, aviation, train engines, all have positive fuel shutoffs...auto/rv never required.
Your only option is what he did to stall it, which could cause damage, OR pinch fuel line closed with vise grips, OR crack a filter... if you can get to it safely.
Kind of dumb, but not a very common occurence, until it happens to you...then it's 100%, just like a lightning strike or shark bite.
He may get lucky.

RE: trading up to a DP, wondering about fuel program

Yes legit...used for a year, GREAT savings! You can leave SS off and they will call to confirm. Great staff at TSD....small and busy so it may take a few days to get set up. Something like 8K Rvs signed up and using. Very long threads on irv two forums.
Only high speed truck pumps at the truck islands in back. Love's offers best discount. Petro/TA next, Pilot/FJ a distant third.

RE: leaking sunroof

Common problem... on GM's they use a duckbill fitting where the water comes out the firewall and into the engine compartment. They collect sand and pollen then no draining. :(
You can cut the end off a little bit and then it will drain, too big of an opening invites bugs. MOST systems consist of hard and soft lines joined somewhere in the drain...air pressurealmost always blows them apart, usually way up under the dash where you can't reach...Murphy's Law.

"The Greatest Generation would be appalled."
Yeah and perhaps a few weeks of a little sacrifice will help save those few remaining Great Generation that served much longer than a few weeks!
Time for all to get out of the wagon and start pulling instead of sitting inside whining about things.

Wait a couple of days. It appears that the government in an attempt to save everyone is about to make thousands of campers homeless in FL and other states...see you at WalMart.

RE: Water tank & city water questions

Then finally remove the screens on all your faucets and clean them or you will be back here wondering why water pressure is so low. Usually a fair amont of construction debris flushes out in that initial water fill process.
Welcome aboard. :)

RE: Taping down a solar panel on a PAINTED fiberglass roof?

Just scratch through the paint where the brackets go. Use 3m 5200...a liberal puddle, place your panel, after it dries cover the top of the bracket and over the edges cover your original puddle. Properly cured...follow directions it will never move. Use the quick set version.
Try a test piece on something first, it also comes in toothpaste tube size...if skeptical. I put a rivet through each of my brackets 12 years ago...waste of time.
