RE: Grand Cherokee Transmission Clunk

Ours is a 2016 and does the same thing. It hasn’t concerned me enough to have it checked.

RE: Gardiner Montana

Have you thought about RV parks in West Yellowstone? With Fishing Bridge RV Campground closed for refurbishment then West Yellowstone might work better than Gardiner.

RE: Slide out awning covers

It seems that those who have slide toppers wouldn’t be without them and those who don’t have them don’t want them or could care less. I’m in the former group. They keep stuff, like leaves and twigs, off the top of the slide.

RE: Oil stick problem - need help

I have the same problem. I have to pull it out and turn it slightly, often repeatedly, until it “seats” properly. Gee, I hope this post gets past the censors.

RE: East Bound I40

We have driven that route more than a few times. There are no real steep climbs or descents. You can check the Mountain Directory to get specific grade information for the entire route.

RE: Gaining Altitude

Thank you for posting! I liked watching the video. I would have liked it better if there was less driving footage. What were the camping discounts?

RE: Albuquerque Balloon Festival Questions

My brother and his wife are going this year. However, they waited to make reservations and the closer RV parks were all full. They could only get one that was quite a distance away.

RE: travel to Haines Alaska

I think you are very right to be concerned about the weather. Someone mentioned getting into a motel to wait out a snow storm. But as was said by someone else they’re aren’t many. I think it is a bad time of the year to make that trip in a car. Making that same trip at the same time of year in an RV is a different matter.

RE: Glacier national park

The KOA near the west entrance is one of the nicest we have ever been in.

RE: Will fifth wheel front hit truck back window?

I think I would certainly find out. Go out into a large parking lot and slowly start making tighter and tighter turns while keeping a close eye on the front cap of your fifth wheel. You will then know for sure.

RE: New Trailer Day!

Very nice! Now you need a new truck to match the color scheme of the trailer.

RE: Husband/wife Audio of Parking our 44' toy hauler

That parking job was done way too easily! I didn’t hear one bit of cussing, no loud crunch, and your wife didn’t yell at you at all!

RE: Grand Canyon Early April

That’s a great time of the year to visit the Grand Canyon. However many people think the same so make reservations now. You will almost certainly have freezing temperatures and possibly snow. But if you are prepared than the trip will be well worth it. I highly recommend Trailer Village Campground in the park.
