RE: New Trailer Day!

Very nice! Now you need a new truck to match the color scheme of the trailer.

RE: Husband/wife Audio of Parking our 44' toy hauler

That parking job was done way too easily! I didn’t hear one bit of cussing, no loud crunch, and your wife didn’t yell at you at all!

RE: Grand Canyon Early April

That’s a great time of the year to visit the Grand Canyon. However many people think the same so make reservations now. You will almost certainly have freezing temperatures and possibly snow. But if you are prepared than the trip will be well worth it. I highly recommend Trailer Village Campground in the park.

RE: Need TOAD advice ........................

My Jeep is not garbage. Well, maybe it smells a little bit when I’m driving it, but it’s not garbage.

RE: Fleetwood service centers

We used the one in Coburg, Oregon, for a loud door squeak that no one else was able to fix. We made an appointment months in advance. They made the repair quickly and professionally. We can’t say enough good things about the facility and the employees!

RE: Heading to the Rockies for 5 or 6 weeks.

Yes, it’s ambitious, but it would be fun and exciting to try to do everything on your list!

RE: OTA television while traveling?

We use OTA television the majority of the time. We will sometimes hook up to cable, but often times the OTA reception is a better quality.

RE: water won't drain

I had one RV that required the water pump be running to drain the fresh water tank. I just drained it to 1/4 to insure that the pump didn’t run on empty. Gravity got the remaining water out.

RE: 101 highway from olympia to north entrance of park

We drove that area last summer with no problems. Curves and narrow areas and some traffic sections will slow you down, but we enjoyed the drive. Be safe.

RE: Taking Hwy50 form Montrose to Colorado Springs~

Just came over the pass last month. Some patchs of rough road, but not bad at all. We have been over the pass many times and find it to be one of the easier routes. And the scenery is just beautiful. Drive safe!

RE: C Tables ??

We have used something similar that I’m pretty sure we got from Camping World. Check their website.

RE: I Hate the Heat

In the past it was Alaska. But not this past summer. It has been hotter there than where I live.

RE: How do you store your power supply extension cord

We used a heavy duty clothes basket in which we coiled the 50 amp cord. The built in handles made it easier for one or two persons to carry. I wish I could claim credit for the idea but I saw a fellow camper using it.

RE: Couple new to RV travel Trailer's looking for advice

Just go out and go trailer shopping. The bigger the selection the better. Have your husband take off his shoes and step in the shower to insure it’s big enough. He should lay on the bed for the same fit test. Find the one you like with the stuff you want and the one that fits your husband. Ask if the dealer will swap out a sofa for recliners. Your doing the swapping after buying may be impossible because you can’t get the items through the door or window. I encourage you to get a trailer with at least one slide and longer than you think you want. We regretted buying the smallest and quickly moved to a fifth wheel for more room. Good hunting/shopping!

RE: 2019 Discovery LXE 44H Noise in Dash

We had what sounds like the identical squeak in our 2011 Southwind. Many unsuccessful attempts at a fix by the selling dealer during the warranty period. After warranty period it took a letter and phone calls to Fleetwood. They put a manufacturer tech on the phone with the dealer tech to finally get it fixed. In my current coach the same squeak started after a new windshield was installed. The installer found a fix on a you tube video. He put some type of cushion between the dash plastic and the metal it was rubbing against.

RE: Invisibrake or Stay-In-Play Duo ??

I have used the same stay in play duo on three different toads over a period of about eight years. No problems at all with it.

RE: Monument Valley RV parks with electric?

Goulding’s was a very good campground. Any place that has had John Wayne as a guest is great!

RE: S OR to Redwoods

I’m confused. If you are driving from southern Oregon to Van Damme State Park why would you be going through San Francisco? If that is the case I recommend using CA 1 through the city. Definitely not the 101.
