RE: Texas to Washington State

Thanks Tom/Barb, Do you put chains on the trailer as well as the towing vehicle? Remember I-40 to Santa Rosa Nm. to Las Vegas Nm. cuts off 200 miles off the trip. It's a great highway I-40 west does get to 7000' and does get plenty snow. get chains, even if you never use them use them. No. we stay over when it is that bad

RE: Slides- Important stuff AND what they don't tell you.

It must be time to sell. We made a 7K trip, nothing broke. A first time for 13 years.

RE: Help Switching to 40' Pusher

40 seems to be perfect, for our use. 43' seems to be too big for most camp grounds.

RE: Newmar Sold

As a long time Newmar owner, this makes me a bit sad. Hopefully Winnie doesn't screw it up. Yeah that !!! I hope Newmar never drops their quality or their support. The Newmar we have now will be the last one we will ever own. Simply because it will last until we can no longer use it.

RE: Southern Louisiana in November

So what's Southern Louisiana in November like? Thinking about heading that way and taking in Grand Isle SP and what ever. Coming from the midwest and wanting to escape the cold. Want to take in several State Parks, but not the NOLA scene. Cities aren't us. Been to Palmetto Island SP years ago and loved it. Any recommendations/avoidances to be aware of? Thanks I'd be more interested in the availability of low cost RV parking. the way to spend the winter with out breaking the bank.

RE: Best route to I15 traveling north from Kanab

Thank everyone for their response. Saw some 8% long grades and the point about few pull off's and slowing traffic we decided take 89 to 70 and then to 15. Wife points out she can go by “Big Rock Candy Mountain” if we gothat way so you know what she voted ??All 3 highways cross the same mountain range, both 14 &20 are Both very doable in any motor home, 70 you must cope with the truck traffic.

RE: Best route to I15 traveling north from Kanab

I would use 20, not 14. Why? it's 6 of one half dozen of the other. We've been both routes, I liked 14 better.

RE: Would this be crazy??

You'll go a long ways to be more comfortable than this. beaverhttps://www.rvtrader.com/listing/2005-Beaver-Motor-Coaches-Monteray-40--Laguna-Diesel-5008369527 A 60k budget isn't going to buy you a 170k rv. I didn't think that was a 170K coach. some one thought it was a good deal, because it is no longer on the page....

RE: Best route to I15 traveling north from Kanab

14 isn't that bad either, brings you to Cedar City on 15. Pretty scenic route too. Aren't the Zion Tunnels on 14? No they are on 9 thru the park.

RE: Any of you guys winterizing with air only?

You must have an extremely clean air compressor , drain the water out of it lately. Yes and yes, it also has a filter. I don't like buying air tools either.
