RE: Camping World or not?

Shop around -- look for the best deal. After purchase service is BAD no mater where you purchase. See if you can find a USED one that is in good condition with no water damage. You will save $$$$. Since 1984 I have purchased a number of used RV (TT and 5er) (slow upgrade from a 19 footer to a 36 footer) and have been very happy with the all of them.
I would NEVER purchase a new RV. Let the first owner suffer the large first year deprecation and new RV service problems.

RE: Is replacing the furnace worth it?

When I camp with shore power, I've been using an electric heater. When I need heat when dry camping, I've use a Little Buddy Heater while being careful to monitor with a CO detector and cracking the vents.
My Little Buddy Heater has been performing just fine although I hate using those little disposable propane tanks. Being that the cost of a new furnace or quality diesel heater is so high, would it be worth the upgrade?
Connect the Little Buddy Heater to a 20 or 30 lb tank. I ran the line from my Kitchen (under a drawer) to the hole I drilled at the outside shower location. I have a two burner Big Buddy heater.

RE: 2005 Norcold refrigerator -- shore power not cooling

120 volt heater went bad??
The "tube" is hot so the heater is working. Likewise, all the fuses are good.

2005 Norcold refrigerator -- shore power not cooling

2005 Norcold refrigerator connected to shore power, temperature set number 9, mode AC, outside temperature 80°, inside temperature 70°. I cannot get the inside of the refrigerator to cool below 45° sometimes it is 50° which is unacceptable to for food storage. Trailer is level.
I have tried running on propane with no joy
Any suggestions are welcome.

RE: Suggestion for trip to desert southwest

greenno, I'm a space/science geek. I would forever regret it if I was that close and didn't stop to see Meteor Crater.
.
If you can go to McDonald Observatory an astronomical observatory located near Fort Davis TX on a night they have a star party. One of the best space/science experiences that I have ever had. Not only is the lecture outstanding, you get to look through the large telescopes at the planets.

RE: Suggestion for trip to desert southwest

Dry camp at Goose Neck SP $5.00 (?) UT and drive Valley of Gods and also up Moki Dugway - Utah Highway 261. You can dry camp for free at lots of places in the Valley of Gods and at the very top of the Moki ie Muley Point, but Goose Neck is worth $5.00 for the view.

RE: Tree Pruning

If the tree is close to the garage, I suggest an electrical one. They are small and not much more danger than a hedge trimmer.

RE: Windows 11 Experts?

Everything.exe is a VERY good program to search you HD. I have it on Win10. I think it works with Win 11.
I only use "send to" for blueTooth. I use move or copy for all other HD

RE: Insane first RV trip plan?

1. MUCH TOO LONG FOR A MONTH TRIP -- More like 8 weeks.
2 The first SHAKE DOWN trip should be close to home such as a COE lake near home with a Walmart close by. You will make lots of mistakes on the first trip. Even if you have full hook ups dry camp without any hookups so you can experience boon-docking
3. One month trip Sand Dunes, Mesa Verde and the 5 National Parks in Southern UT. This will keep you very busy.
4. If you are over 60 (?) get the 50% senior discount card for NP and make reservation 6 months in advance. Campground fill up quickly.
5. The Tetons are best seen in early spring with the snow on the mountains.
6. If Seattle is the main goal, bypass all before Crater Lake and spend time on the Oregon coast/waterfalls/painted hills.
7. If you rush and do the long trip this year, what are you going to do next year?
