RE: Warning! Publci Toilet Hygene

Nothing new, this has been an issue since the invention of toilets. I have a quick look, if the seat looks suspect I wet a tissue and wipe it before I sit down. I have more important things to be concerned about like where can I buy beer. Better wash the tops of those beer cans before you out your lips on them. You never know who's fingers handled them and where those fingers were before that....lol Could have been in that nasty restroom.....lol

RE: The Verdic is in, New Ford 7.3 V-8 Gas mpg not so Great

Gives the Julio's on TFL something to do anyway.

RE: Warning! Publci Toilet Hygene

I never sit on a public commode seat. Always lift the lid and squat over the bowl. Same with a urinal (I'm a guy), never get close up and never touch the flush handle either, always with a wet wipe in my hand. If a hole in the floor is good enough for some, squatting over a bowl is good enough for me.

RE: Lights

If this is a Forest River product, they got a bunch of LEDs that failed. If you contact the dealer, they would replace for free. In our fifth wheel, we had 8 out of 14 go out within about 2 months. We had another issue and when we took it to the dealer, they replaced them. A month after that, several other original lights went out. Again, I called the dealer and they just shipped us the remainder of the lights that replaced ALL the originals. Probably bulk purchased the cheapest SMD's they could find. I learned real fast that CREE is the best.

RE: Lights

If it's not a CREE SMD, it's not worth beans.

RE: Can we pull a TT with our ‘20 Suburban

Rent a motel. Cheaper in the long run and no dirty sheets to change either.

RE: lino cracked after cold spell

Time for a new unit.... It's had it at 10 years anyway.

RE: No! I’m not top heavy.

Not my thing at all. Looks top heavy to me but then people for the most part don't care.

RE: What is the coldest temp you've started your Honda 2000 in?

I use my Champ around the farm for power and it sits in the unheated garage (ambient) all the time and makes no difference when really cold except a bit longer on the choke. I run 5-40 Rotella all the time. I suspect Honda to be the same. Might take an extra pull to get it going too.

RE: Camping Lights

Why we always camp primitive and no lights on our RV outside when parked. I have a nice LED flashlight if I need to see. Personally, I believe those with all the lights on are scared of the bogeyman.

RE: Kirkland motor oil

Oil is oil is oil. Ignorance is bliss (so they say at least) until you have a lubrication related failure. Then you'll change your tune.... as your wallet gets emptied.

So long as they don't tickle your butt, I'd call it experience.

RE: GM to introduce electric Hummer

The old Hummer plant in Shreveport La. Is available again. It belongs to the state or local government. Hummer could probably save millions by not having to buy land and building a facility. That actually makes too much sense for GM (Government Motors)...lol The Hummer was known as a gas guzzler. Wonder if this reincarnation will become known as the 'Electric Meter Guzzler'?:R What makes sense is building them where they already announced, Detroit - Hamtramck. A lot closer to the 2 plus billion dollar battery plant they're building in Lordstown OH with partner LG. Some of you folks need to get off that Government Motors foolishness. Nothing like beating a dead horse to death for 12 years.....lol An onion has a thicker skin than you do..lol We own one (Suburban LTZ) and I still refer to them as Government Motors. Always will. Why not build them in Lordstown at the shuttered Cruze plant, that is even closer. Pole Town is a lot farther away.

RE: 2018 RAM 2500 with Adventurer 910DB

IMO - NO! Dry weight of 3373 and that is without any options such as battery, AC, etc. Add water and necessities and you will be looking at a camper weighing over 4500# when ready for a trip. I wouldn't even try to carry that on my 3500 SRW. You will need to stay with a very light camper, preferably non-basement. First your diesel eats up a lot of payload. Second is you have coil springs which is a double strike because it has coil springs AND they are mounted inside the frame rails. Neither of which work well for carrying a high COG item like a truck camper. What would be a better thing to do is upgrade to a DRW 35000 and then get the 910DB if that is the camper you think suits you. Never understood why Fiat-Chrysler went to coils on the medium duty trucks for one and why on earth did they mount them INBOARD, inside the frame rails. Makes zero sense to me. If you desire a Cadillac ride, buy a caddy, not a truck. My other issue with coils is they have no inherent dampening like a leaf spring pack does so they are hell on shocks. Must be less expensive to manufacture is all I can think of.

RE: Prepping RV for private sale

Rest assured, you will, plus your socks....lol Almost nothing has a steeper depreciation curve than a used RV except maybe a snowmobile. When we buy one (new) we really do careful research because we know it will be a long time owners Didn't get much but we got plenty of use out of it. Last one we had and sold, we had 14 years.

RE: "Leather" coming apart and peeling

Wow SidecarFlip...do you want to loan me a million dollars? We have a beer pocket book. Even at that, when you spend that kind of money on a diesel pusher you don't expect it to fall a part in less than 5 years. It looked like leather, it felt like leather...not being a leather expert we didn't know what we were getting. I just want others to be aware and don't make a mistake like we did. No problem, I'll write you a check....lol Keep buying those Super Lotto tickets and you might have a winner. Candidly, we have friends with one and it not only has real leather seating, it has a marble bathroom with gold plated fixtures too. For 1.75 I expect no less.
