RE: Tire Rotation

No real reason to rotate, but what harm could it do?
I'd go front to back on each side. Keep 'em rolling in the same direction.

RE: Time to sell questions

I'd try RVTrader. That's where people looking specifically for RV's tend to look. Spend a few bucks, take LOTS of GOOD pictures, price it right, and you're off to the races.
Another word of advice. If you decide on a price, and you see little or no activity, be ready to systematically drop your price. You might have to do it several times, but you will eventually "find the market" and it will sell.
Best of luck in your efforts.

RE: Insurance recommendations

The skylight was 300 and we have 500 deductible. But hubby has a really bad back so we really don’t like the roof stuff. But we did it today. So it’s all done now.
So if the skylight was $300, and you have a $500 deductible, couldn't you have found someone to install it for you for $200 (+ or -)? Why would you have submitted a claim anyway? Am I missing something here?

RE: I Bought Too Much Truck

" I think they are even offering 0% interest on the F-150, but not on the F-250."
I think it's currently 0% for 48 months, so, for example, on a $70,000 truck, you'd have a low, low monthly payment of ONLY $1500!! :E

RE: Season soon to end - putting RV into storage

Yup. Just move to Florida like everybody else does ... and forget about it!Sorry, no. I'm looking for good weather all year round not just winter.
As I see it, "good weather all year round" means NOT having to store my RV . . . and no "season soon to end" either. My season is 12 months.

RE: I Bought Too Much Truck

midnightsadie is right.
Get a small car (or small truck) for your everyday use.
Looks like you bought the monster truck for pulling the big trailer. Exactly how many days per year will that be happening? Then, ask yourself, how many days of the year will that NOT be happening?
Do the math, and use your best judgement.

RE: The Ford Explorer Men only Edition

Cute. I get it . . . in recognition of Women's History Month. OK.
So, when is Men's History Month, or did I miss it?
The world's population is almost an equal split, 50.4% men, 49.6% women.
So, we should expect equal billing, right?Basically, every month is Men's History Month. Or hadn't you noticed? :)
Sometimes my wife wishes I was history . . . . does that count? :E

RE: Tag mounting

Hi rv7plt,
Consider using something like flex-a-seal. I.E. double sided water proof tape.
^^^ what he said ^^^
3M makes a great waterproof double sided tape. All my flat-mount business signage is held into place by it, and has been for years.

RE: No place to camp in Florida

How about last-minute cancellations? Is there a way to monitor such a possibility? I know that over the years my wife and I have scored some killer cruise deals by watching last-minute offerings. Just a thought.

RE: Luan woes

Nevermind - guess I'm on my own. Just got my 'middle finger' certified letter from my 'insurance' company that they won't be covering any of my damages. Essentially anything caused by seepage of water or wet/dry rot is not covered. Learn something new every day. Guess I've been wasting money on all these coverages. On to plan B!!!
No, you haven't been wasting money on all these coverages . . . simply because you haven't had 'all these coverages'

RE: Coating peeling off seats

Face it, even mid-line and RV's are built out of the cheapest quality components the American buyer will continue to accept. Remove all the upholstered pieces, take them to a reputable local upholstery shop, and they'll fix you right up.

Just the Thor vs. Winnebago aspect, IMO, would make the decision for me.

RE: Denver to Grand Rapids in February

Consider taking the ferry from Milwaukee, Wisconsin to Muskegon, Michigan.
This may help with places to stay:
https://freecampsites.net/#!Denver,+Colorado~Muskegon,+Michigan&query=routeSearch&routeDistance=25&routeIndex=0&roundtrip=false
The ferry would be a great idea if it weren't February --- it doesn't resume operation until May

RE: The villages florida

You need to understand that riding "to The Villages" is not like riding to a nice quaint subdivision. There are over 60,000 homes and over 115,000+ population. It's huge.
Grab Google maps and determine exactly 'where' in The Villages you;d like to go, then look for possibilities.

RE: 25% better mpg from current diesels? Too good to be true?

25% is a huge boost in economy. I don't know if diesel's are figured into the manufacturers Corporate Average Fuel Economy (CAFE) or not. But if they can come out with a piston top that gives 25% more economy for a gasoline engine the manufacturer's jump all over that. You mean like they did with the 200 mpg carburetor? :)
Yup, much the same --- some big oil company will buy the technology and patents and set it on a shelf. Done.Uh, that was a joke. :)
Mine wasn't. Google it.

Oh yeah, I forgot about Thomas Jefferson's famous statement. I'll have to remember that next time I Google something. Thanks for the reminder :W

By your profile it looks like you've had that Class B for at least 10 years. If the propane hasn't killed you yet, it probably won't :W Save your money and buy a few lottery tickets or something!
