Where do Americans list their RV's ?

Hello neighbors to the south. Curious what the more popular listing services would be for you folks when listing your RV for sale?

RE: Nightmare Repair

yes, would definitely like to know what they did. we can spit ball all day but understanding what the shop did, and what the next shop does (and if this resolves the issue or not) could go a long way to helping your fellow RV'ers with similar problems.

RE: Rafter J-Bar / Custer / Rushmore

Hey gang... we've been on the road for a few weeks now, will be leaving from Fargo ND this thursday morning. Im looking for some things to do while en route. Traveling with a 12 year old who shoots guns and paints her nails, she likes piano, guitar, hotrods and diesel trucks and shopping. this is the route we intend to take.

RE: Niagara area RV parks

4 milen is for sure a grewt place. 5 years ago didn't have reservations and couldn't get in and stayed at the yogi bear, it wasn't so bad either.

RE: Rafter J-Bar / Custer / Rushmore

Thanks again for the input. We decided to push our reservation up a week so we arrive on thr 8th and stay for 10 days. I understand that there will still be a lot of bikes and what not but Im thinking it will still be a fun experience. Stock up, yes we will load up at our overnight en route in Fargo ND, we'll dry camp at Sam's or Wally's and load up before we go.

RE: Rafter J-Bar / Custer / Rushmore

Thanks for the input folks. Sadly the dates are difficult to change so I think we'll head over to Yellowstone that week instead. Cheers.

Rafter J-Bar / Custer / Rushmore

I'd like to hear from those with experience in the area. Without too much forethought I went ahead and booked 10 days at Rushmore, staying at Rafter J campground. It just dawned on me that we are there August 1 to 10,which coincides with Sturgis bike rally. Traveling with wife and 13 year old daughter, how much of an impact will the Ralley have on our visit to the area?

RE: Costco battery?

Costco varies from province to province... Virtually any marine/deep cycle group 27 - 31 battery at Costco will be fine. Measure your battery box dimensions and bring tape measure to Costco and buy your best bang for your buck battery. Keeping in mind dimensions,or.change battery box. You have battery stores like. Batterybattery.ca out there you might consider calling them and ask what they have in deep cycle lead acid 12 volt, there are some really decent RV deep cycle batteries that can be had for.under $300.

RE: De winterizing

So... I think you are close, perhaps you are a bigger picture person and so have missed some details... Leave hot water tank bypass in bypass configuration. Partially fill fresh tank and dump a couple of times. Fully fill fresh tank and ad a cup or 2 of unscented bleach. Turn on water pump and pump mixture through all lines till pink stops pumping out. Drink a beer. Drain fresh tank. Drink another beer while tank drains. Fill fresh tank and pump through lines till bleachy water is gone. Turn off pump Remove hot water tank plug Reconfigure hot water tank bypass for in line use. Turn on pump and allow a small amount of water to escape the hit water tank, I will often open a near by hot water tap and insert the plug allowing a portion of the tank to fill and remove the plug to be sure any bugs are rinsed out. Turn off near by hot water tap, turn of pump lube (food grade lube) and reinsert the anode rod in the tank. Turn on pump and allow tank to fill. Test all systems. Done.

RE: slide topper fabric replacement

tough top awning out of Vancouver Washington. go to RV geeks on you tube, and look up replacement awning and they show you how to measure and how to install the material. not sure if they still give a discount if you mention their name or not. I got mine through them and the material is far Superior to any thing you can get elsewhere. I got both slide out awning for about the same cost as the large slide out I have if I went through a rv dealer and A & E Ditto!

RE: Awning trouble.. Please help!

Do you have any lockdown mechanism that you may have forgotten to release? Did you rock the switch in and out, is the click audible with each press of the button? Are you on shore power, if not plug into shore power and try again. Try. 12 volts directly to the awning.

RE: Setting Up Tow Vehicle w/hitch, Etc

Btw I have the mega cab... I've never had to slide my hitch. If you buy the ram box you will need the sidewinder hitch that pivots at the pin box and not in the truck. I have seen a couple of Mega cabs with dented cabs. And I've seen a full size f350 dually with a dented cab and crushed fender. To slide or not will really depend on the trailer design... How ever to my point, I've never had to slide my hitch and I get into some tight spaces. Only caveat here is that I can tell that if my trailer tires should any more than a foot higher then the tow vehicle on a tight cut, I may have to slide or straighten out a bit.

RE: Sewer smell

Is there a tank vent near a roof vent? Hit up a dollar store and buy some pinesol like ten bottles of it, as mentioned above, get a clear sewer line fitting and dump file rinse repeat until everything is out then dump a gallon or two of pinsol in and leave it for a while. I do this a few times a season and try to drive with the cleaner in the tank. Downy scent Perls or what ever the are called are good to. I dump about 10 bottles for the winter season.

RE: Headed south for just two weeks

So envy you right now! Have Fun... Dont overthink stuff. There are a couple of apps you can use to find BLM 14day no hookup free camping and of course this and another rvforum to ask for specific details. Just hit the road and enjoy!
