RE: Boondock sites in southern CO and northern AZ

The Dine’ have a website that discusses camping on the Res. Instead of “That's why I'm asking if anybody knows,..” review the website. The official information.

RE: Boondock sites in southern CO and northern AZ

The areas south of Williams are Forest Service land and there are many beautiful campsites available. Here is the camping page for the reservation...

RE: House battery size

"Curious as to what size and type batteries class A owners use for house batteries." Depends more on the type of camping you do rather than the type of RV.

RE: The impact of Ian...

I think the recovery period for Florida RV parks will be years...unfortunately.

RE: Owl Creek pass

My opinion agrees with this… “The road to the summit is a well-maintained gravel road. It’s an easy driving without any serious difficulties for conventional cars, in dry conditions. However, after heavy rainstorms, potentially muddy conditions may prevent cars without AWD or 4WD from reaching the pass. Approaching the pass, the gravel and dirt road starts to wind, and with plenty of tight turns. The road to the summit is very steep, hitting a 12% of maximum gradient through some of the ramps. Starting at US-550 (Million Dollar Highway), the ascent is 23.17km (14.4 miles) long. Over this distance the elevation gain is 967 meters. The average gradient is 4.17%.” However, I enjoy challenging drives.

I believe in following the manufacturer’s recommendations.

RE: Birdsong10us was planning to stay in Fort Myers in storm

I'm hearing the worse storm in over a 100 years. Terrible.

RE: Class ‘A’ motor homes FORD chassis.

One bad experience with a Ford chassis, as told to you by a friend so it’s all second hand, doesn’t make this machine one to avoid by speculating all Fords are unreliable.

RE: Mattress

I was lucky in finding a mattress that fit and was the model as we have at home.

RE: Cover for camper while in storage? Yes/no?

I cover my TT. No damage but it’s an expensive, tight fitting cover with six extra straps. Still shines like almost new. Sun is my number one enemy.

Your opinion…the truck is just a bucket of chicken?

RE: Northwest coast of U.S.

Many beautiful state parks all down US Hwy 101. No ugly ones! Later in the year reservations won’t be needed in most cases. I’d start at Olympic NP and head south. Avoid the San Francisco area. If you camp without hookups, you’ll be in great shape.

RE: New 2024 Chevy HD and Increased Dmax Power

“Looks” was the reason my last purchase was a 1500 and not a 2500. “You’re so vain, you probably think this song is about…”

RE: Ford 150 Lightning owner review

What’s the point this guy is trying to make? A early model T was a “failure” at towing too. He was dopey to buy it for towing. Gee, I get less than half the mileage I expect when towing my TT.

RE: Leaky roof, any ideas where it’s coming from ?

"...and seller is saying no soft spots." Soft to him could be you can't see sunlight through the roof. Best to walk away from this one IMO.

RE: Grey Tank Filling

Some RVers are so concerned about the damage a "pop" in the fresh water lines would cause that we fill our fresh water tanks and use the pump...and turn the pump off when not using water. Water is the your number one enemy.
