RE: It looks like my truck camper days are over.

Wow, sad to see those pics. Glad you weren't hurt badly and hope you are back on your feet in the near future.

RE: Toad Battery Charger

What gauge is your charge wire? I would use at least 10 gauge. Is there an equally sized ground wire grounding the two vehicles together as well?

RE: Help - jacks are draining my batteries

Get one of those booster packs and connect it to your batteries while you are using the jacks. Or disconnect them from the batteries completely and just use the booster pack until you have the camper where you want it.

RE: Daytime Running Lights.

DRL needs to be enabled in the body control module. Will need a dealer or shop that has the equipment to do this

RE: No scheduled maintenance on Ford Superduty

yup. Transmissions are now "filled for life". My truck will be 12 years old soon and I have never even checked the transmission fluid level. I think I will change it soon though. I believe the only 10 spd trans available in the super duty is the 10R140, so it should be the same one.

RE: re-caulking roof

Get 2 or 3 tubes. Keep an extra one handy. Never know when a branch is going to poke a hole in your roof or something and its good to take care of it right away.

RE: Can’t remove AC cover for maintenance

Can you insert a screwdriver or small prybar between the two pieces and gently pry them apart as you are turning the screw?

RE: Tire chains in Califdrnia

I figure it never hurts to have them anyway. Every fall, winter tires get installed and tire chains get chucked in the back.

RE: Travel Trailer electrical, - Inverter placement/hookup

I added another 15-amp breaker to my breaker panel. I connected a 12-gauge cable to the breaker and ran this to my 2000-watt inverter. The inverter back feeds the panel and it will power up everything I want it to. Not the "correct" way to do it but it works fine and does everything I need it to. I hope you remember to turn off that breaker before connecting to shore power. Yup, sure do

RE: TV and Internet

I would take a picture and keep a log of every time it happens. Try to get your neighbors to do the same thing

RE: Trailer Brakes HOT after adjustment

I always adjust mine to the point that I feel light drag. I think the heat you felt was just from the hard braking. If it makes you feel better, take it for another drive without the hard braking and recheck the temp

RE: braking problem

Did you try applying the trailer brakes manually with the brake controller? What happened? Did you try increasing the gain?

RE: Hazel Henderson -- 1945/2022

So sorry for your loss but congrats on the arrival of your great grandson. Thanks so much for the story.

RE: Attempted truck theft - I hate thieves

Sorry to hear this Bob. This city seems to be becoming a cesspool. These people need to be exterminated.

RE: Stalls While Driving

91 E-350 would have port type injection system that ran 30-45 psi fuel pressure. 99.9% chance it is a weak fuel pump causing your issue. Very common on those, especially in hot weather. Replace your fuel pump and the inline filter too. I'm sure it will solve your problem.

RE: Selling 2018 F150 to upgrade to 2022 F150 - worth it or not?

What part of "money is tight" do you "Pay off the $7K" types not understand? It's pretty much assured the OP does NOT have $7K laying around to pay off the truck, otherwise money would not be tight. I must have missed the part where he was waiting around to have it repossessed. I don't think anybody was telling him to pay it off today. Continue making the payments until it is paid off.

RE: Selling 2018 F150 to upgrade to 2022 F150 - worth it or not?

Keep your current truck if there is nothing wrong with it and get it paid off. I am much happier with no payments. My 2011 still works perfectly and I would not replace it with one of these new ones for anything.

RE: Low Battery Voltage

Does your fridge have a high humidity switch? If so, make sure it is not left on. It can draw the battery down.
