RE: getting thru Atlanta

Best time is Sunday morning around 9AMish > South to North, watch the lane markers and signs. The Downtown Connector splits back into I75 and I85 as you pass the major buildings downtown. North to South > Keep toward the center lanes. For some reason the far left lanes will exit up a very short ramp and dead end to a left or right street. We had a tour bus with a athletic team run up one and off the bridge a few years back. People died from poor design.

RE: New to RVing and In Need Of Advice! :)

My philosophy has been and remains, "too much power is better than not enough power".

RE: Retile

I might just look at the number of square feet you will put down and then weigh the tile you are considering and weigh a piece. Just figure the weight it will take to cover the area and add a few pound for the glue and grout. Like others have said, it is going to add considerable weight if you use ceramic tile.

RE: Motorhomes with 19.5 vs 22.5 tires

I like the 22.5. Handling vs 19.5? Haven't driven a coach with the smaller tires but trucks with the larger tires ride better. Certainly more available if you need 22.5 on a long trip someplace. Run what you like.

RE: Fuel gauge calibration

What chassis is your coach built on? Freightliner has a Service Center in Gaffney that did a lot of work for us when we had diesel coaches. Sounds like a sending unit going bad, but maybe(?) the electrical connections just need cleaning?

RE: Best Rt - Daytona Beach to Unicoi SP, Helen GA

Your route to Helen and to Unicoi is OK but there will be a tremendous amount of traffic from Cleveland over to Helen. There is a two lane bridge over the Chattahoochee River that stays jammed much of the time due to pedestrians walking randomly across the road on both sides of the river. You have to cross river to get to 356. The CG is pretty steep and road is narrow going into it. Just use caution. Great area in Helen to spend an afternoon wandering around, looking and snacking. Going to see

RE: Fresh water tank taking too long to fill...any suggestions?

Might be as simple as debris in the screen filter where you hook the freshwater hose. Been there and have the tee shirt ;)

RE: Ram 6.7 no start

Betting battery. I have a '17 very few miles and used very little. Same thing. Showed power but would not turn over. took it to the dealer and they put one in. Parts store would have done it for half that, but I didn't know it was battery.

RE: Twisted Receiver Square

Is the receiver twisted or off center? Looks more off center to me or am I missing something else? Have them take the entire hitch off and install new one from another truck?

RE: Fiberglass roof crack repair

Eternabond works great with the fiber backing. Sealed the roof/wall seams on a 2000 Itasca years ago. Then painted the tape with their liquid sealer. Worked great. the fiber backing allowed the tape to flex and seal on corners without the kinks. Was still holding when we sold the coach in 2008. good stuff I used a 2" square on the awning that was attacked by an limb. No ripping or tearing from the wound.

RE: Two Outlets in GFCI path not working

Tell me if I am wrong guys. Circuit comes of the breaker panel and if the first receptacle is GFIC then anything downstream from that shorts, the GFIC trips. Any receptacle past the GFIC that shorts will trip the GFIC at the top end of the circuit. I ended up having to have a new GFIC because it would not re-set.

RE: Under Counter Mounted Coffee Maker

Had one on our 2000 Itasca Horizon and loved it. Until I left the pot on the eye on a stretch of rough interstate and it bounced out. Never did find a replacement fit. It was sure nice to reach up for another coffee while sitting at the breakfast table however.

RE: Pigeon Forge to North Carolina

Don't go through the Park. Even if you don't have issues, there are going to be LOTS of folks who are going to. No places to pass. steep grades - up and down. Think of the people you are going to inconvenience if you go that way.

RE: My Hitch Won't Let Go Of My Ball

We have a flatbed utility trailer with small lever/clip that locks around part of the 2 5/16 ball. Sometimes it will not unlatch when disconnecting and I have to hold it up and back as the tongue is lifted off the ball. Have no idea why it only happens sometimes.
