RE: Verizon Grandfathered Unlimited Plan

Have Verizon, but no idea what plan I have. Crazy question, but how do you tell?

RE: Fuel tank leaks when we fill it

Steel or plastic tank? I might look at the synthetic hose between the filler cap and tank - crack or leak? vent with a loose connection into tank? Leak where the wires go come from the tank float to the outside? Could be several places I guess.

RE: Diesel Chassis service

I might try with a local truck stop with a shop and see if they can do what you require. Most every TS in this area has an adjacent shop or a shop nearby.

RE: Magic Chef Stove identify

I tried to order a silicon stovetop cover for our stove and the source on the site I tried to order from did not have it listed. Maybe I didn't have the right model/number?

RE: best route, West to East?

80 : From Salt Lake City to Rock Springs will be the most mountains you deal with on 80. More trucks on 80 and pretty boring ride - long stretches of barren countryside. I get nervous when fuel starts getting below a half tank. 70: Don't know how you will get from NorCal to 70 because it starts at I-15. Much more mountains from there until you get through Denver. THat is another PIA for me. Personally, I would run 80 even if it might be more boring and fewer potential fuel stops.

RE: 301 in Ga. and SC

301 around Orangeburg is confusing due to the rerouting of the highways thru town. Not a traffic jam like 95 but there is heavy traffic sometimes. We go from Lincolnton Ga cross country in order to get to I-26 toward Charleston.

RE: Dish TV

We have Dish and Wally. Living room takes one and the bedroom takes another. Total of two. Have tried the BR wally in the MH could not get it to work. Sure that I have done something wrong.

RE: Pet Peeves in RV Parks

Quick story. Back in 2000, We camped at a local state park on a major reservoir on big river. We had a nice campsite across a small inlet from another site with a couple with a baby and dog. We could hear the dog bark and the baby cry. They kept a fire in the fire pit the entire time they were there. When the breeze got up the smoke blew directly into our site. Aggravating, but we were nice about it. Nothing we could do anyway. They packed up and left early one morning as their time expired that day. The smoke and odor continued. I walked around the inlet to see what was going on. The pit was full of cans and trash, and I believe every nasty crappy diaper the baby had used their entire stay there. Not burning, just smoldering and smoking and stinking. I ended up with my water hose with steamy stinking smoke still blowing toward us. It finally went out, but I did not envy the hosts that had to clean the pit. I have wondered if I did wrong or should have let burn everything that would have. I guess I would do it again or maybe found another site

Ole and Sven were taking a vacation in Sven's new camper. As usual, they'd become lost and were wandering around a strange town trying to find the highway. Sven was just starting down a grade to go under a bridge when he slams on the brakes. Ole: Vat da heck you do dat for, Sven? Sven: Dat sign dere says "Low Bridge. No Vehicles Over Twelve Feet High." Dis here camper is t'irteen feet! Ole: Cripes almighty Sven, dere ain't no cops around. Yust hit da gas pedal and go for it!

RE: Campground close to Atlanta

Anywhere off 85 north of town will be a pain getting in and out of town with all the construction going on now. Top side of 285 is also VERY heavy traffic for the same reasons

RE: Insert pins

Thanks guys. I will use the grooved pin and check often. Oh, and remove the insert before it leaves the shop next time

Insert pins

Loaned my Ram 1500 to a relative the other day and upon return the insert from the hitch was in the bed but the pin was missing. I had a pin with a hole that a clip key slid into. I was pretty sure this would not come out as it was hard to pull w/o pliers. Not a big deal to replace but I needed to use the truck. Local hardware and the only thing he had was a Reese pin with a groove around the end that the hairpin style clip fits around. Is on style safer than the other? Just seems like the clip through the pin would be less likely to come out. Am I worried for no reason?

RE: RV park "STANDARDS"

we don't have a dog in this fight, but we do try to avoid them whenever there is other places to stay. Costs are usually higher with every little thing. i.e. Front row, water front, kids, pull through site. etc, etc. We stayed at the KOA in Mr Pleasant SC one late Fall season and were given one of the best sites on the property. Then the construction crew showed up digging and adding more sites beside the pond. Still the best KOA we have stayed at. We were there because of the short distance to our favorite restaurants in the area on Shem Creek

RE: dingy induced sway

Towed a Camry on a dolly years ago. Had some sway that I finally figured out was because of slack tire on the dolly. Just saying, watch your pressures

RE: How to Best Run New Coax on Roof ??

Just because they did not originally have a connector does not mean you could not create a splice and add a connector just below the roof line. If the roof is only filled with styrofoam you should be able to create a channel for the coax through the styro foam. Maybe I'm missing something But running a new line across the roof does not seem like the most efficient way to reconnect the antenna. Tell me how this is accomplished?
