We're also going to Quartzite in January. My sister and a group of friends are all meeting up. It will be the first time for us, but they say they have a great time. Does anyone know when the RV Show starts.

I actually see more minorities camping than I see on the beach and majority of beaches are free. This racist stuff is getting old.

RE: Norcold Fridge Problem

We had a blockage in our 8 month old Norcold Fridge. We had to cancel our month vacation. We had Norcold tech come out on vacation and nothing was accomplished. So we headed home and took the RV to our local our RV shop. It took 6 weeks for Norcold to do anything. After testing, etc. Norcold decided to install a new cooling system. We ended buying a 4 year warranty on the unit.

RE: Dish & Wally Receiver

We replaced our Dish DVR receiver with a Wally, plus external hard drive. We were on vacation and couldn't get satellite reception in the living area until after 12:00 P.M. We had no problem with the bedroom TV. It was so weird. We even tried it at home and had the same results.

RE: Winnebago and the Workhorse

We have the 2003 35ft. Itasca Suncruiser with the workhorse chassis vortech engine. We were dry camping last week and this couple came up to us and wanted to buy our rig. They have a Winnebago with a Ford engine. We told them we are going to keep our rig and get a new paint job, new couch and new flooring, etc. We are happy with our rig and we really never had any major problems with it.

RE: Keeping fridge cool in high 90s temps

When it's hot I usually run the fridge on propane. I have two little battery operated fans one for inside the fridge and the other one for the outside compartment. I also turn the temperature up to eight. This is our second Norcold refrigerator. The first one last 8 months. Norcold ended up replacing the cooling system. I ended up getting a 4 year warranty.

RE: Keeping cool

We have friends from Arizona that sold their motorhome and bought a truck and trailer because when they were on the road the motorhome never got cool inside with the dash air on. We said why didn't you turn your generator and air conditioner on when you are traveling. . They said they didn't know you could do that, LOL.

RE: Length and public campsite availability lately?

We do both dry camping and RV Parks and never had problems parking our 35 ft. motorhome, except one place in the Red Woods, Ca. We ended up staying in an RV Park. Go for the 30 ft. if I were you.
