RE: Trailer upgrade

Why upgrade? It's probably a money loser.

RE: Seasonal site N Florida or S Georgia

Dare we assume by seasonal you mean November thru March? You can get temperature averages for any city on the weather site and others.

RE: Cleaning top of slideout

I'd sure like to know the reasons for no topper. I might want to take mine off!

RE: What Portable Propane Gas Grill Do You Use?

Just slightly off topic but we take our Geo Foreman grill outside and plug it into the site post.

RE: Tire covers while storing 5th wheel for winter

A piece of plywood will do as much good as vinyl covers. Mainly it is to keep the sun off to minimize heat buildup. None of them do anything for UV rays according to a recent study.

RE: Baltimore area campground

We always stayed at Merry Meadows in Freeland and liked the large Flagpole sites as being at altitude and relatively isolated. This makes sense if Johns Hopkins is on the north side of town. You don't want to have to drive thru/around Baltimore at any time.

RE: RV'ing with a cat

How does a cat learn/know that coyote scat means possible trouble?

RE: 4-Corners

We picked up some beautiful native-made pottery while there and had a unique sandwich whose name I have forgotten; something like a pizza burger but better. But that was years ago.

RE: Best places to park the TT @ Yellowstone

X2 for Grizzly which is next door to a grizzly bear and wolf sanctuary. Get up close and personal with a wolf separated by a chain link fence is unnerving...and take the tour buses.

RE: Yellowstone 2020

Stay at Grizzly and take the tour buses.

RE: Bidet in Bathroom

X2 on adding one to the seat but piping could be a challenge unlike the ones made for home use where the piping is easy.

RE: Sleeper sofa replacement

Does the Lay-z-boy provide what you want in a sleeper sofa? If so the extra money will go away over the time that you are enjoying it. It's the old story about the oats. You can get used oats for a bargain price but if you want nice clean oats it will cost more.

RE: 4 year old Forest River vent covers already failed

We keep our TT covered when stored at home which helps keep the sun off at least half of the year. We have never replaced our OEM covers but do have the Maxxair over both vents.

RE: dumping tanks

X2 on the sewer cleanout at home BUT be sure to remove the donut before dumping since it can, and will, fall off when dumping.

RE: pressure washers

We use an electric pressure washer but have never found out how to make the soap dispensers work which would be nice to have when washing an RV. I have even used it on the roof which should be done first because the roof `crud' flows down the sides of the RV.

RE: Stabil or Seafoam for long term gas can storage?

A search for stabil resulted in 42 posts; some of which are responses to this post. The Goldeagle website states a `2 year life from the time the can is opened. Old sta-bil is OK to use but may not be as effective.' For our snow blower we use the gas/oil mixture from Ace. Since we typically go thru a few cans in a season storage does not seem to be a problem. Our lawn mower is electric.

RE: Dash camera recommendations

Try searching for `dash cam' and read on. We have a Blackvue DR750S-1CH that you can search for online and see examples of it in action. One can remove the card from the camera and insert it into a holder that plugs into your computer which allows one to see what it has seen during your travels. One of these days it will record an accident which we will be able to use for whatever purpose.

RE: Uncomfortable Sofa

A comfortable sofa bed is an oxymoron sort of like an honest politician or an honest used car salesman!

RE: Hot water pressure drops

Wouldn't it be nice of all, or most, of the RVers who have a problem that is helped by this Forum would close out the discussion with how the problem was fixed? We'd all learn from that.
