RE: how do you keep sewer tank clear

Keep them clean? Not to use them.... to keep the debris free as possible, use LOTS and LOTS of water!

RE: I'm In College Football Haven Over Here!

U-S-C, GO *****! Muschamp has a fresh new pair of spectacles. He can now see what's going on. We came to play again Georgia. I hope we can keep the momentum going for Florida at home!

RE: Sewage Follies

That is a strange smelly set up. I couldn't watch. I would be gagging! As far as the honeywagon, we camp at Darlington, SC for the NASCAR race each labor day and have been doing it for 15+ years. The honeywagon comes around sucking out campers. We have also always been concerned about tanks collapsing from it. We were talking to a worker this year that owns the company that has been doing the area we camp in since we have been going. He said he has never seen or personally heard of a tank collapsing, and like he said, if it happened, word would have probably spread fast and they would have been run out of Darlington County for good.

RE: What do you want in a campground?

Shade, some privacy, clean bathhouses, level sites...

RE: Blackstone Griddle

I have a 36" blackstone at home that we use at least 203 times per week, and a 84"sq Blue Rhino that we take camping and tailgating. Best grills I ever purchased!

RE: Best Self-Leveling Sealant For An Aluminum Roof?

We have a Fiberglass roof on our Class A, and just sealed all of our seams in May with Proflex RV Instant Roof Repair. That stuff isn't going anywhere for a while. Just painted on it with a paint brush. I recently checked, and still looks great 6 months later.

RE: Steps don't stay out/shade won't go all the way down

Following! We have the same issue with our steps. Currently, we crawl on the ground and unplug the wiring harness under the camper to keep the steps out when camping.

RE: Are my A/C's working correctly?

We have a 35ft class A with a 15k and 13.5k btu. Both can keep it 69* with no problem when it was close to 100 outside and humid during July. We do use reflectix material in the windows and added a thermal curtain behind the front curtain. But it cools without a problem. Now it may take it all day into the night to get to that temperature when we first set up, but it maintains it once it gets there. And I was told by our A/C guy that the A/C should cool the air 20* cooler than the return air, not the exterior air temperature.

2 6v batters VS 2 12v

I just replaced the house batteries in our Sea Breeze after getting 8 years out of them. It had to 6v in it. Just curious, why do some people run two 6 volts instead of parallel 12v?

RE: outdoor shower help

ill pull the head and check for smutz just seemed strange to be that it would go from fine to nothing not fine to low pressure. sounds like something is clogging it. If that doesn't work, disconnect the house from the faucet and see if you are getting water from there also.

RE: outdoor shower help

Take your shower head hose off and make sure it isn't clogged with debris anywhere.

RE: replacement awning

We just replaced ours Saturday. We order the awning material for Dyers RV Online, only because that was the only place that we could find that provided vinyl replacements with the metal weather shield and had blue. I emailed several times with questions, and they always replied quick. As far as replacing, we watched youtube video and had 4 people total with two ladders. We took our time and kept double checking instructions. Took us about an 2.5 hours to complete.

RE: Replacing Awning Fabric that has Alumiguard Cover - DIY

Good for you! With some help and like you said "taking our time" good to go. We get back to our RV lot in Yuma, AZ. for the winter, I have a new fabric to install. Was going to do it in the spring but all my help blew out of town to go north. I'll get them corralled in November. FYI, make sure you pay attention to the direction that you unwind the springs torrision. That was our biggest issue. We put in on, flipped the lever to unroll, and it came flying down. We had the spring wound backwards. Then we changed them, and had to wound opposite so it done nothing. But we finally figured it out. I also recommend getting some of the folding white tables to work on.

RE: Replacing Awning Fabric that has Alumiguard Cover - DIY

Finally got around to replacing the awning this morning. We decided to go with vinyl. Dyer rv made the vinyl to fit the metal weatherguard took about 2.5 hours with 4 people helping. We took our time and kept verifying the directions and watching the YouTube video. Thanks everyone for the advice and help.

RE: Emergency escape thoughts...

I have never really thought of this. We do have an emergency exit window behind the couch, and over the bed. Figure the camper is 8 ft wide, so getting up to climb out of either one if it is on it's side may be an issue though.

RE: Onan Marquis 7000 - No Output Power

2 circuit breakers on the right side as you face the generator. Not out in the open. You'll have to look close. Also, that generator is an NHM, not NHH.......... I have the same generator on my 95 Bounder. Richard You are correct with the model. I edited that. I did not see any breakers when I was out there yesterday, but I will certainly take a closer look when I go back, which will be next week as I will be out of town this weekend. Thanks!

Onan Marquis 7000 - No Output Power

My grandpaw has a 95 Pace Arrow with a Marquis Onan 7000 model 7NHMFH261050 and it has no output power. The ATS went out a few years ago, and his RV repair guy installed him a 50amp end on the generator to plug the RV power cord straight into instead of replacing the ATS. That worked for several years with no problems when he ran the generator. Now the generator has no output power at all. The generator starts and runs great still though. Anyone have any ideas on anything simple that it could be for us to check?
