RE: Concrete driveway thickness??

Concrete: theft proof, fire proof and guaranteed to crack! We used a 4000# mix, 6" thick and rebar on 12" centers. Saw cut the next day and after 6 years all is good

RE: Insurance declared value of used motor home

As stated, you can insure it for what you want. We have a stated value policy on ours and know exactly what they will pay in the event of a total loss. Have the same kind of policy on our El Camino and a wrangler we have.

RE: Reintroduction, shopping for a 10 to 20 y-o DP

Might look at some of the older beavers. Good quality coaches from what I've heard. We've been very happy with our 08 itasca. Ours is high mileage at almost 100k. It would be in the 70-100k range with the miles on it. The miles are nothing to the chassis.

RE: Windshield seal

Bruce, It is rusted. The last time I had a windshield put it it had quite a bit of rust on it. They got it put in but wouldn't guarantee that it wouldn't leak. The leak is intermittent, and not bad, but I'd like to seal it up. I thought that by filling the void with the adhesive then using tape instead of rubber it might make a better seal. The next time I need a windshield I'll take it to Winnebago and have them fix the rust and make it right

Windshield seal

I have an 08 Itasca, and the windshield seal leaks. It also came off when a truck passed me once and I had it put back on. It has since come off again, and I stopped and bought the 3M windshield adhesive and a new seal. The seal is like the old one, but when I put it on it barely fits the gap. There is hardly any seal left to put the adhesive on. So that brings me to two questions. Do they make a seal that is wider so more adhesive could stick to it? Could I just fill the gap with the windshield adhesive, and then put a piece of Eternabond tape on it and not put the rubber back on at all> This is the seal at the top of the windshield that I'm talking about. It goes from one side to the other in one piece. Thank you all!

RE: Windshield Replacement Recommendations

I would never ever use RV glass solutions! Sent me to a shop and they broke a mirror and trim piece and if I hadn't been watching them we're going to put the screws on the trim back into caulk instead of the clips. I spent another $500 fixing the things they broke. RV glass tried to dun me for my $250 deductible!!
