RE: What size generator to run AC??
We've been running the same dual 2000 watt Hondas since 2011 with no complaints. Pretty easy to move around and with the boat tank conversion kit they will run for days.

If I remember right, it was a long rigid part that attached to the awning arm. You would pull down or push up on it and it had a finger that would flip the awning lever

The Awning
Well, I tried my Googlefu and failed. Many many years ago I worked for an RV dealer. I remeber a neat extended arm that attatched to the awning arm that allowed me to flip the awning release lever from low on the awning arm. The only reason we needed the awning rod was to reach the pull strap. Anybody?

While towing our 3000lb travel trailer with our 2011 Yukon xl 1500 5.3 litre I found that it does ok for the most part but the transmission did get up to 220 degrees going over Macdonald pass in Montana. We were down to 45mph and 3000 rpm just as we crested over and the trans gauge touched 220. Has anyone replaced the stock cooler with a larger one that is a OEM ? I don't like the idea of scabbing in a cooler attatched too the radiator and just rubber hose clamped to the lines. Than you for your time.

Dealers.....
Me at my local dealer;
" I'm looking for a used travel trailer around $10k. No more than 22 feet long and no more than 3000 lbs. At least one dedicated bed but doesnt have to be a bunk model but would be ok too. I'm towing with a 1500 Suburban rated for 5000 lbs total trailer weight."
Dealer;
" Here, let me show you 5 new units that are all over $25,000.00, all over 22 feet long and weigh 6000lbs."
Ugh. Then argue with me about my Suburbans towing capacity because the door tag says GCGVW 7400 lbs and I can tow a 7400 lb trailer.
Yea, Same old story I guess...

Well, we sold our 40' Sabre fifth wheel and diesel pickup. Getting ready to buy a 2007 R Vision travel trailer to pull with our Yukon. Been wanting to downsize for a long time. Wish me luck!
