RE: Are RV sewer hose supports necessary?

I carry one. We half time. I use one occasionally for a reason I haven’t read yet and why I bought one. We camped at a campground And the dirt around the pad was red clay. After a week of on and off rain the sewer hose was coated with red clay. A real dog to clean off. So I bought a support to use when it’s a muddy site.

RE: Need some help with equipment to boost internet

I used Weboost five months last year. My experience was very positive. I quit using a dB signal strength app and switched to speed test sites. I Found that Weboost increased data rates almost always. Dramatically many times. .5/1 MBs to 5-10 MBs. I routinely stream with Appletv, Hulu and Netflix.

RE: Painfully slow internet

I’ve given up on campground wifi. I bought a Weboost RV cell amp and antenna. $500 and worth every penny. Between Verizon iPhones and an ATT based wifi puck we easily stream Hulu and Netflix. I have been in areas with no bars and get streaming speeds with the Weboost.

RE: DirecTV HD satellite reception

You didn’t mention signal strength. What is your signal strength meter telling you?

RE: Dish pay as you go, and Pathfinder Dish

I pay $5 a month to keep an active account. That way I can turn it back on with a phone call.

RE: Howdy. New Owner With Questions Not Found in the Manuals.

We had a wine cooler. We used it to store bottled water. We replaced it with a 2’ cubic foot fridge/freezer which can be adjusted to be a fridge OR a freezer. Ignore the Guages.

RE: 2008 Itasca catalytic converter & pipe stolen

That sucks. I’d call insurance. I had to replace the chrome tip on my DP and it was $200.

RE: 1990s 2000s Ford engines in motorhome

90s Ford chassis had the 460 V8. I. Would steer clear of those chassis. Around 99-2000 Ford switched to the V10. Better that the 460 but the early years had some problems eg spitting spark plugs etc. After around 04 or so they got better with more HP. Also look for the five speed trans. I forget which year. Around 2016 they switched a six speed trans which is more better.

RE: Electric Bikes???

For heavy people or people with bad backs/knee etc. the Day 6 semi recumbent bikes have bids rated for 400 pounds. Also large frames. You can get either mid drive (motor on front crank) vs hub motor. Mid motor lets you use the gears powered by the motor. You can shift under motor power The are not as heavy as they look. Day 6 clicky

RE: Dish pay as you go, and Pathfinder Dish

I bought Winegard Pathway X2 auto dome. It’s advantage is it lets you choose either DISHs eastern OR western arc. This is an advantage if there are trees or hills as the sats are located in different areas of the sky so higher chances of getting a signal. DISH is way more RV friendly. You can change locals daily if you want. You can reauthorize your sat box from your phone.

RE: Electric Bikes???

Our friends bought a pair of foldable fat tire ebikes for $900 each. They have had the most several months and used them several times weekly on long rides. Very happy. Www.lectricebikes.com

RE: Fleetwood dash A/C evaporator access

On my 05 Fleetwood Expedition, you take the defroster vents off, take out the screws hiding under button covers then the entire dash top comes off. We had to replace the thermostat in the evaporater a few years back. Denso has schematics and wiring diagrams on their website. Fleetwood sent me mine.

RE: Diverticulitis

Perhaps try medical marijuana. You can take gel caps. I agree on losing the Oxys.

RE: Dish Hardware

The Winegard batwing paired with the Sensar Pro amp/peaking feature is the best combo out there.

RE: Older MH mpg with diesel

My 2005 Expedition CAT C7. It gets around 7-8. 62-63. MPG is one of the last things to worry about.

RE: Honda 3000 Problem

Boy, some people are stubborn. You can absolutely buy e free fuel all over Florida. 103 Octane fuel too. Yes it costs more. So a huge company like Racetrac and WAWA go to the expense of putting a separate tank in and dedicate a pump for E free fuel next to all their other pumps and then put Egas in it? E free gas clicks.

RE: Honda 3000 Problem

Most airports and marinas sell e free gas. Our Race Tracs sell e free gas for boats in Fl. NOPE, not "everywhere". PA, you NEED to have a legit FAA TAIL NUMBER in order to purchase "AV" fuel from an airport. For racing fuel, you NEED to own a race car AND have a valid PIT ticket for that day.. Don't know of ANY "Marinas" selling anything other than adulterated gas with alcohol in PA.. Hate to break it to you but you have been duped to believe that you are purchasing E free fuel, Ethanol has been mixed in the fuel supply before the 1970s, in the 1970s it was touted as the savior to the gas crisis as "Gasahol" at a higher cost, didn't sell so eventually it was FORCED onto the public via EPA in the name of clean air.. The reality is Ethanol is not the problem with most engines, it is DIRT in the fuel system which clogs off the small jet passages.. Honda carb design is highly prone to clogging in the main jet, pretty much not only Honda has this problem but any Honda clone which uses the same Honda carb design.. But I highly doubt that this is the issue with the OPs gen, clogged main jet symptom is the engine will not run without the choke partially or full on. Water in fuel bowl due to E fuel is a reality, but give the gen a good shake and the water will recombine.. Or just dumpt the fuel bowl and try again, but this does not seem to fit the OPs issue since they CAN get it to start and they CAN get it start to run their A/C but it no longer will continue to operate their A/C reliably.. They NEED to check the current draw of the A/C while running, as the A/C gets hot, it will draw higher amperage.. The shore power can support that under normal circumstances but with a gen that is sized a bit small it may not have enough ummp to continue on with a full load attached.. They also may need to try turning off EVERYTHING in the RV, converter, waterheater element, switch fridge to gas, many, many reasons as to why the gen is no longer running the A/C.. They are also talking a 12 yr old gen, silly things like AVR failure, rotor failure, shorted stator, worn out plug, weak spark and plenty more can also cause the same symptoms.. So all these places that have a big sign that says “Ethanol Free Gas” are lying? And the airport sells gasoline in addition to Av gas. And it’s not the carb that dislikes E gas, it’s the rubber. Ethanol melts the fuel lines and diaphragms. My son has a landscaping business. They use premix e free fuel at twice the price for all their wackers and blowers. Because in the long run it’s cheaper.
