Where to camp and scuba ?

Does anyone know of a campground for a 42' class A full hookups and also has scuba diving opportunities available for some nice recreation diving? Looking for something like the clear springs in Florida but having trouble finding one with full hookups and one that allows our dog. Open to other ideas on different areas in the southeast.

Seeking FHU site near Florida Springs for class A

Trying to find a campground with full hookups located near one of the fresh water springs around central Florida. Looking for on site amenities such as swimming, kayaking, scuba diving, snorkeling, tubing, etc. MH is 42' class A. Any suggestions?

Bluewater Key RV questions

We may be trying another Key West trip. Our first did not turn out too well but we learned a lot. This time we will stay at Bluewater Key. Couple of questions: 1) Is it safe to snorkel off the docks at the resort? 2) Is it safe to kayak off the docks at the resort? 3) What's the best places to eat around the resort? Any comments on this resort welcome.

RE: tires

Agree on the Michelins....not all agree but there is a market for old mh tires with low mileage and in good shape. Local trucking companies love them.

Florida turnpike or I-95??

Went to the keys earlier this year, took the turnpike. Several areas, I could see I-95 and it did not look any more crowded than the turnpike. The turnpike fee was $55 for my rig which isn't a big deal but which is the best and less crowded route going to the keys on the east coast,,???

RE: Rettroband

They are around $4,000 for the two front tires. It just sticks in my mind since we had a local couple in their class A experience a front tire blow out, wrecked and a fatality occurred. I don't let my tires get over 7-8 years old and never had a problem. But age isn't the only factor that can cause a blowout. Just thought the product was interesting.

Rettroband

Just saw a Rettroband advertisement in the FMCA magazine. Does anyone have any experiences with this product?

Emergency escape thoughts...

If your mh rolled over on the highway, how would you get out? The door and windows would either now be the roof or the floor. What's the chances of the windshield popping out on it's own. The windshield appears to be the best route of escape. It might could be kicked out but then you might not be in a condition to kick it out. Would a window punch tool break a motorhome windshield? What's your thoughts?

RE: Filter for beach water

We always carry bottled water for consuming but we could not even bathe in this water it was so bad. We used tank water for bathing but of course it is limited in supply.

RE: Filter for beach water

It was not a campground. It was a private lot set up for rv. The water was well water. Neighboring properties have the same issues. Seems like they just get used to it. This is at Edisto Beach, SC.

Filter for beach water

Just came back from a short beach trip. The water was awful. Very strong metal/sulfur smell. A lot more than we have typically experienced. I did buy an inline filter for about $25 but it did not seem to help. I am sure many have been in this situation. What type filter can one get to get the Sulphur smell out of beach town water?

Camp Clearwater / Margaritaville RV resort at Lanier

Does anyone have any experiences with either of the two campgrounds stated above? Camp Clearwater is at White Lake, NC. Margaritaville RV resort is at Lake Lanier above Atlanta. Thanks!
