RE: Recommendations?

At present, I have a 35 ft. TT. It has 3 slide outs but only a queen bed. I would like to drop back to a 27-30 ft. TT with a king bed and at least two opposing slide outs if possible. Has to be as far under 10,000 lbs. as I can get and less than 1,000 lbs. hitch weight. Any body know of a decent quality build with what I want?. I would look at Cougar, they have a few king bed models; not sure about oposeing slides though. Good luck in your hunt!

RE: Bought a second truck. Mufflers and turndown tailpipes arrived Friday. Hedders will arrive Monday. Now all I need it the time to install them. Sounds like fun! Pun intended! Looking great!

RE: RV Queen to Regular Queen Mod Challenge: Floor Heater Vent

Are you going to sit on the end of the bed? If not I would just swap out the mattress and go camping. It's not like the end of the mattress is going to sag with only 5 inches of overhang and I don't think your feet will know the difference. If you feel you have to extend the platform you could staple and glue a plywood cleat under the end of existing plywood and then staple and glue the 5 inch extension to that. No need to mess with the lower structure then. Good luck and happy camping!

RE: Slab sinking

You can compact the ground until you are blue in the face and you won't reach 100 % compaction. The ground will still settle! The slabs should have been pinned together to eliminate uneven heights or seperation. Good luck, it will probably keep moving.

RE: Removal of Refrigerator Roof Vent

Piece of cake! 4 screws hold it down to the housing and then probably twenty screws holding housing to the roof, there will be some caulking on top of the screws, but easy to remove. The opening below is probably about 8 x 24. You can attach some cleats to the side of the opening and put some plywood over the opening and then reseal the roof. Good luck with the repair. Bill

RE: The Future of Pricing

In the Spokane, Washington market it's totally flooded! Normally by owner on Craigslist there are about 150 units for sale at any given time, but now it's consistently running about 450+ and there all overpriced. I think you will see prices coming back to earth sooner than later..Good luck with your search!

RE: Funny water pump leak

You might try checking the head screws to make sure they are tight. Mine loosened up over time and would leak as yours is doing; I gave them a quick tightening and all is well now. Good luck and happy camping!

RE: best way to recover a roof

Gdetrailer, Is your roof flat? Mine is curved. I like the aluminum idea. dougrainer, Redecking sounds expensive. But I do value your advice. Well, You CANNOT install EPDM or TPO over the existing EPDM/TPO. You CANNOT install new EPDM/TPO over the existing wood subdeck after you remove the OLD EPDM/TPO. You HAVE to redeck. You overlay the new decking with Wood Glue/screws. Doug Never heard of needing new decking for a new roof, nor have I ever seen any shops put on new decking unless the old was rotted. Nor have I ever seen this requirement in the instructions from EPDM roof suppliers either. Where is a reference to needing new decking??. Xs2. I am redoing a trailer as we speak and there is nothing wrong with the decking. You just need to be sure everything is clean and prepped properly before installing new membrane! Where did you get your info???

RE: Two tires: A tough decsion

Had the Carlisle hd's on mine, loved them. I stepped up a size and went with load range e's, never had a problem with them. Good luck on your decision!
