RE: Thank You All

We will always travel, God willing - just changing the process! Thanks again to all.

Thank You All

DH and I just completed the transaction and sold our last RV! We have been "camping" for almost 48 years, starting with a pop-up and finishing with our Class A! Loved every minute of it, but somehow we know it's time to move on. We will continue to travel, but in our car from now on! Would like to thank everyone who took the time to answer our questions, share their experiences and impart their wisdom. Being on this forum helped in more ways than I can explain. May you all continue to enjoy your life's journey, and Happy Camping!

RE: best way to sell

Took the advice of using Facebook Marketplace - and the suggestion we do some homework to "price it to sell but not give it away". Finalized the exchange of funds today, less than 2 weeks after posting! Close to asking price too! Thanks for the help everyone!

best way to sell

After 48 years of RVing, DH and I have decided to sell our last Motorhome. Any suggestions on how best to get the word out that it is for sale? We have posted it locally on our area's "Marketplace" but would like to make the info more widespread. Thanks for your tips.

RE: What's up with CGs?

My guess is that this is protection for the owners - liability issues. It's not hard to appreciate the need to 'spell it all out' in today's litigious society. Makes it easier to remove those who do not 'get it' - that campgrounds are supposed to be safe places for families to go to and enjoy!

RE: Time for change

Wanderingaimlessly - We thought about that, but we've 'been there, done that' and simply are ready to ride a train, drive the car, or maybe even fly! We have a great firepit in our backyard (courtesy of our son!) so I can still enjoy my campfires! Thanks for the suggestion.

RE: Time for change

RognBon - Ours has been sitting as well. We still love to travel, but have found we are almost as comfortable in a decent (not overpriced) hotel room. It's just more effort now than we choose to put into using the RV. We have started to feel obligated to use it, and that's no reason to get in it and go! The other reality, of course, is cost. Its a 2006, so it is starting to need repairs. Just don't want to put any more $ into it. It's in good condition, and I'm sure another famliy will find enjoyment with it as we did!

Time for change

DH and I have been RVing for over 47 years, from a hard-sided pop up to our most recent Class A. We have both decided it is time to allow another family the chance to enjoy what we have loved doing for so very long. We're selling our Motor Home and NOT getting another! It's just time. Just want to thank everyone on this site for sharing their experiences and their expertise. Every question I have asked has been answered - almost always in a very useful way. I have learned so much from just reading your posts! Hope all continue to do well and enjoy the best vacation traditions. Sincerely, Pam and Bill Hyatt
